BSCC Monthly Meetings

Ages 50+

Join this exciting group of fun, active adults who meet on the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings include a general business meeting followed by lunch, entertainment and raffle prizes. New members may join at any time. Annual membership dues are $15.

Late registrations cannot be accommodated.

Blenderful Music. Andrew Blendermann is a pianist and vocalist with a vast repertoire of songs you’ll love.

Nostalgia Entertainment. Matt and Cynthia Gruel, a husband-and-wife duo, will be performing their dynamic ’50 s show, “Unforgettable.”

Huntley Brown. Huntley has played piano all over the world. His style has been described as inspired, powerful, and explosive. Get ready for an amazing show!

McDonald Family Celtic. Shawn McDonald and his family will perform for us with bagpipes, drums and singing to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Bill Cook. Combining music with mind-blowing magic, Bill Cook’s high-energy show features comedy, drama, and interactive audience participation.

Join the Batavia Senior Citizens Club to begin receiving the Batavia Bulletin, our newsletter for active adults, so you can stay up-to-date with all the fun happenings! We will take a break from all weekly senior programs (Coffee’s On, Bunco, Pinochle, Bingo, and Handy Hands) between December 26 and January 6.

Handy Hands Group

Ages 50+

Get together with others who enjoy working with their hands to knit, crochet, or create other handy projects. Preregistration is not required. This group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon in the Bartholomew Room.

Puzzle It! Bingo

Ages 50+

Join us for a puzzle-themed Bingo special event. Bring a gently used puzzle or game to go toward the Bingo prize pot. After playing Bingo, you will enjoy a delicious boxed lunch included in your registration fee. Register by noon on Thursday, January 12.

BSCC Bingo

Ages 50+

Join us for Bingo and win some fun prizes. Please bring your own beverage. Preregistration is required. This group meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.

Bunco

Ages 50+

Bunco is a game played with dice and a whole lot of luck! Enjoy a fun afternoon with fellowship, and prizes. Preregistration is required. This group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.

Pinochle

Ages 50+

Get together with other Pinochle lovers to play this classic game of cards. Don’t know how to play? That’s OK; we will teach you! Preregistration is not required. This group meets every Thursday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Bartholomew Room.

Game Time!

Ages 50+

Join us for this drop-in program where participants can choose from a variety of activities such as board games, card games, puzzles, or trivia. Snacks will be provided; please bring your own beverage. This program is free to members and $2 for nonmembers. Please register so we know how many supplies and tables are needed.

Coffee’s On

Ages 50+

Seniors are invited to drop in to the Bartholomew Room every Monday from 10:00 am–12:00 pm to savor some coffee and donuts, play games and cards, and enjoy some lovely conversation. Please bring your own coffee mug. The Bartholomew Room is located in the Civic Center, 327 W. Wilson St. Hope to see you there! A donation of $1 is requested each time you attend, to help defray costs. Refreshments provided by Dimples Donuts.

Rules of the Road

Ages 50+

Enroll in this two-hour class before taking the Driver’s License Renewal Exam. Review traffic laws and signs and prepare with a practice written test. This class is offered free of charge in cooperation with the Secretary of State’s Office. Please call 630-879-5235 to reserve your seat in advance.
