ave you ever blurted out the wrong words at the wrong time? Mortified, you wish you could push rewind and start again—but unfortunately, the words are irretrievable. The scriptures tell us to keep watch over our tongue, and for good reason. Words have the power to create strife or peace; to uplift or destroy; to bless or to curse. The old adage claims “words will never hurt me.” That, however, is untrue. Wrong words do hurt, but the right words spoken at the right time have the power to heal and comfort. Words count—so count your words!
