Workshop Learn everything you need to know if you want to get an internship or a job in Germany. The Application Essentials seminar is designed for international students specifically and also addresses intercultural challenges involved in the application process. The seminar involves the following topics: - The application process in Germany - Assessing your profile - Finding jobs and analyzing job ads - The application portfolio - The job interview - Q&A Session with international alumni and career counselor

Presentation: Alina Sungur (AISEC), IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) The two biggest internship exchange organizations run by students present their internship exchange program, followed by former intern’s field reports recounting the internship experience. Presentation: Sabine Seidler (Zentrale Auslands- und Fachvermittlung (ZAV)) This presentation will introduce you to the relevant legal regulations concerning working in Germany for non EU students. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. Target group: International TUM students or alumni from outside the EU seeking employment in Germany. Panel Discussion The chances and challenges connected with an international career will be discussed by experts from HR and the Federal Employment Agency. TUM alumni with an international professional background will contribute their personal experience. The panel discussion will shed light on various aspects of international careers such as personal and professional benefits, as well as common misconceptions and setbacks. Target group: German students/alumni interested in working abroad, international students/alumni interested in working in Germany, students & alumni with international work experience.
