Chuck Swindoll has often told the story of Thomas Henry Huxley, a famous 19th Century intellectual who was known for attacking biblical Christianity. After a lecture one day he stepped into a horse drawn taxi for a ride to the train station. Assuming that the driver has been instructed where to go, Huxley simply barks the order, “Hurry. Drive very fast!” Huxley then leans back into his seat and rests his eyes for a bit. When he finally looks out the window he realizes the carriage is going in the wrong direction, away from the train station. /// SEE PAGE 3

Oklahoma Baptists hosted a luncheon Aug. 12 for 34 International Mission Board (IMB) missionaries and their children who are currently living on stateside assignment Oklahoma. Some of the missionaries are currently in Oklahoma due to planned furloughs, while others are awaiting the lifting of COVID-19 quarantine restrictions in the countries where they serve. /// SEE PAGE 5
The Edna McMillan Oklahoma State Missions Offering (SMO) produced four new videos available for download at oklahomabaptists.org/smo. All four videos have multiple viewing options of full length, one minute, 30 seconds or 15 seconds. The viewing options make it possible for each video to be featured at any kind of service or meeting. For a Sunday morning service, a church may consider a shorter viewing during announcements. /// SEE PAGE 7
