THE POWER OF YOUR GENEROSITY
Last year, donations played an important role in making the following possible for our patients, staff and the community:
Funding staffing and quality care initiatives that allowed the Children’s Rehabilitation Center to continue providing specialized care in the areas of physical therapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy

Providing opportunities for the nursing staff to attend various webinars on the latest evidenced-based findings and treatment. Critical care nurses also attended the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition, giving them the opportunity to learn about ways to enhance quality of care and patient outcomes.
The South Miami Critical Care Department is currently participating in several highly reliable organization (HRO) and performance improvement initiatives to help decrease the incidence of hospital-acquired pressure injuries (HAPIs) and ventilator associated events (VAEs), in addition to participating in a systemwide critical care initiative to standardize the open-heart program.

Funding care nurse navigators to facilitate the patient experience by coordinating care, treatment and communication between members of the patient's medical team. Providing diagnostic and early intervention services to help children achieve their full capability in all areas of development through the Child Development Center.
Your generosity enabled us to provide services to 146 patients and 30,000 service sessions throughout the year.
