Reception held for Labour BME Councilors in East London

Bethnal Green and Bow Labour Party BME in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets hosted the reception for the first elected Labour BME Councillors in London.

On Thursday (9 March 2023) evening at the Micro Business Park in East London, the president of the organization, Dr. Anishur Rahman Anis, was present as the chief guest at the reception meeting, MP Rushnara Ali of Bethnalgreen – Bow Constituency. London Assembly Member Umesh Desai, Tower Hamlets Labor Group Leader Councilor Sirajul Islam, former Leader Helal Abbas were special. At the ceremony, the first elected Labor BME councilors in six London councils were greeted with flowers.

At the beginning, a minute's silence was observed to pray for the peace of the souls of the late Queen Elizabeth of Britain and the great independence month of Bangladesh.

In addition, floral receptions were given to the elected Labour BME Speakers and ceremonial mayors of Tower Hamlets for the last three years.

First-time Labor BME councilors elected to London's Tower Hamlets, Newham, Croydon, Redbridge and Barking & Dagenham councils were each greeted with flowers by guests and comrades from Bethnalgreen and Bow Labor Party BME committees.

In the meeting, Rusnara Ali MP Bethnalgreen-Bow Labor Party thanked MEK for organizing such an exceptional event.
