KENICO HINES

HEAD EQUIPMENT MANAGER COLLEGE: INDIANA STATE BORN: 7/27/74, ELKHART, IN EXP. (NFL/RAVENS): 14/10

KENICO HINES, who was promoted to head equipment manager in 2021, enters his 10th season with the Ravens. With 14 total years of experience working in the NFL, Hines leads a department comprised of senior assistant equipment manager Tom Wood, assistant equipment manager Scott Rotier, equipment coordinators Jordan Brown and Jeremy Tunstall and sewing manager Ebony Short, who manages five seamstresses. Having accrued 24 years of equipment experience between the NFL and collegiate level, Hines is a certified member of A.E.M.A (Athletic Equipment Managers Association). He’s also a member of the Professional Football Equipment Managers Society (PFEMS), serving on the NIKE apparel and trade show committees. 2012-21: (with Baltimore) 2021: Was promoted to head equipment manager. 2012: Joined the Ravens as an assistant equipment manager and was part of Baltimore’s Super Bowl XLVII championship team.

2004-11: (with Western Michigan) Spent eight seasons working for the Broncos as their football equipment coordinator. 2003: (with Chicago) Worked for one season as the Bears’ assistant equipment manager. 2001-02: (with New York Jets) Worked two seasons as the Jets’ equipment assistant. 2000: (with Chicago) First entered the NFL as a season-long equipment intern with the Bears. COLLEGE/PERSONAL: Attended Indiana State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in communication, with a minor in sport studies...Hines is currently working towards a master’s degree in coaching sports performance from the University of Western Michigan...Kenico is the proud father of six children: Jamia, Deasia, Patrick – who interned with the Ravens’ equipment department in the summer of 2019 – Kyra, Trini and Jeren...He is also a grandfather to Rowan Gillis (Jamia’s son).

RON MEDLIN

RON MEDLIN enters his fourth season as the Ravens' head certified athletic trainer and his 11th overall with the club. He served 17 years as the Atlanta Falcons' head athletic trainer (1994-2009) before joining the Ravens in 2011. Previously, he had worked with former Ravens training boss Bill Tessendorf with the Browns from 1989-93. Medlin's current staff is comprised of Kevin Domboski, Michael Blankenship, Collin Francis, Chris Marroquin and Michael Thomas. 2011-21: (with Baltimore): 2018: Was named head certified athletic trainer following the retirement of Mark Smith... For several years prior, served as assistant trainer...Helped re-design the medical operations system, which improved efficiency and productivity...Provided treatment, prevention and rehabilitation to players as the top assistant to Smith. 2012: Helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII. 1994-2009: (with Atlanta): Headed the athletic trainers’ office while working as the main liaison with the team’s doctors and coaching staff...Developed the Falcons’ protocols for all activities related to the training room. 1998: Helped the Falcons to a Super Bowl appearance.

1989-93: (with Cleveland): Medlin first worked with what would become the Ravens’ franchise when he was a trainer with Mark Smith and Bill Tessendorf...Created a new system to maintain medical records. 1989: Browns staff was selected as the NFL’s Athletic Training Staff of the Year by PFATS. 1984-88: (with Memphis State): 1987-88: Served his graduate school alma mater as the head football athletic trainer, revising the school’s medical procedures while directing the department. 1984: Began career as an assistant trainer for Memphis State. 1983: (Furman University): Served as a GA training assistant. 1983-88: Was a camp intern for the Atlanta Falcons. COLLEGE/PERSONAL: Earned his undergraduate degree in education from NC State in 1983...While working as an assistant trainer at Memphis State, completed his masters in physical education…Ron and his wife, Candace, are the parents of son, Stevenson, a freshman at Elon University, and daughter Mya, a freshman at Winters Mill (Westminster, MD) HS…Ron’s brother Tony is the Chicago Bears' equipment manager. 73
