Around the Baltimore: Stay Safe in Israel Workshops for Graduating Seniors Esther Saltzman On Sunday, June 21, 2015, fourteen boys from the graduating class of Talmudical Academy of Baltimore participated in a Stay Safe in Israel workshop given by Mr. Frank Storch. The Stay Safe in Israel handbook, available at StaySafeInIsrael.com, is the latest publication of the Keep Your Community Safe Initiative, a division of Project Ezra and the Chesed Fund. After davening, the boys enjoyed a delicious breakfast and a shmooze to prepare them for their upcoming year learning and travelling in Israel. The forty five minute workshop included roleplaying, real life stories of adventures in Israel, and excerpts from the handbook. Mr. Storch also told the boys
about the Initiative’s upcoming partnership with ZAKA Search and Rescue, through which he’ll be providing safety and security workshops directly to yeshivas and seminaries in Israel at the beginning of the upcoming school year. The seniors, many of whom have never been to Israel, greatly appreciated the information they received. The week before, Mr. Storch also gave a Stay Safe in Israel workshop to the graduating seniors of Bnos Yisroel of Baltimore, Bais Yaakov of Baltimore, and Yeshiva of Greater Washington in conjunction with a presentation by Mrs. Chana Leah Rappaport, based on Seminary Savvy by Debbie Fox, LCSW.

Community Looking back at TA’s 12th Grade Graduation The 12th grade graduation and siyum is a phenomenal simcha as it is a culmination of four - and sometimes twelve or more – years of development and growth of our talmidim. It is a night of nachas to the parents and the yeshiva as we smile upon and celebrate the fruits of years and years of partnership between our parent body and our yeshiva. We take so much pride in our talmidim and we wish them much hatzlacha in their futures. Thank you to the parents, menahalim, rebbeim, teachers, administra-
tors, and staff, who shared this special event with the graduates. The following boys received awards: Kesser Torah Award ~ Yosef Hettleman; Achievement Award ~ Ami Feld; Academic Excellence Award in General Studies ~ Yehuda Rosensaft. Tiferes HaTorah Award ~ Yedida Gradon Asher Blum, the student representative, addressed the assemblage.
