PROJECT DELIVERY stage 1

Stage 1 of the Lennox Village Vision project is in full swing, with the installation of stormwater services, drinking water mains, and undergrounding of the electrical network continuing.

The following works have been completed:

Aboriginal Cultural heritage investigations. Undergrounding of power along Ballina St and within Ross Park. Installation of stormwater in Lennox and Ross Park including Gross Pollutant traps. Removal of play equipment and furniture in Ross Park in preparation for upgrade works in early 2022.

Ross Park is temporarily closed while works continue, including installation of new picnic shelters and footpath and paving works. Adjoining carparks in Rayner Lane and Ballina Street will be unavailable during the temporary closure. Beach access will be maintained through Ross Park.

Ross Park will temporarily reopen to the public over the summer holiday period and then the park upgrade and landscaping works will continue in late January 2022. Road reconstruction of Ballina Street (Stage Two of the project) will commence from February 2022 near Park Lane, moving north.
