Dear Ballet Lubbock Family and Friends At long last, I am thrilled to welcome you to our first performance at the beautiful Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences. You can FEEL the energy and excitement throughout our studios and facility. Our company dancers have been preparing all year as they steadfastly work on their technique in class every week. This weekend you will have the chance to observe the progression of our company dancers through an interactive ballet class followed by original performances. This stopand-start rehearsal gives you a rare chance to see inner workings of setting a ballet for the stage. Together, with our incredible teachers, staff, and students we can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on! As we continue navigating the challenges this pandemic has presented over the past year, we remain steadfast in our commitment to you to provide a place of premier dance training, performances, and outreach. Our Spring Performance will help us raise the funds we need to continue meeting this moment for our students, and to start building for the future that awaits us when this pandemic has ended. None of our plans, progress, or performances would be possible without the tremendous support of our sponsors and community partners. We thank you sincerely for your continued involvement and for championing our mission through donations, volunteerism, and applause. Your kindness and generosity are making an impact. We continue to grow and serve more each year thanks to your contributions and support. In this era of striking uncertainty, we are stronger than ever with your support. Thank you for supporting Ballet Lubbock and arts in the South Plains for fifty years. Thank you for helping us make this weekend a fun and memorable event for our company dancers. Most of all, thank you for igniting a love of dance and a passion for the arts - the best is truly yet to be. Dr. Nathaniel S. Wright Board President Ballet Lubbock
