Fine Free Libraries

From Saturday 1 July 2023, Ballarat Libraries are proudly becoming fine free.

No matter how late your item is, you won’t be charged overdue fines if you return the item.

Inter-Library Loans

We are pleased to announce Central Highlands Libraries has joined with libraries around Victoria to recommence inter-library lending on Monday 1 May 2023.

Library patrons are able to request items from other libraries and borrow from within the Libraries Victoria network for free.

In order to maintain the longterm viability of this service, some changes have been made statewide.

Document Signing Station

Do you need a Justice of the Peace for document signing? Visit this free service at the Sebastopol Library. No appointments necessary.

Partners: Ballarat Branch, Royal Victorian Association of Honoury Justices

Second and fourth Thursday of the month

10am–1pm

Sebastopol Library

Replacement costs still apply for items that are damaged or lost while on loan.
