John & Maureen Stewart put in a lot of hard work to get this tournament off the ground. Everybody involved enjoyed the week where the young Balinese players mingled with the experienced Aussie teams. Already, a few extra Aussie teams have committed to play for 2013.

During the Hattens Cricket League a number of inaugural events took place starting with Indonesia’s 1st Indoor Cricket tournament held on the 16th July 2012. The event sponsored by the Bali Sports Foundation and held at the Meazza Futsal Arena, was the first of its kind to take place in Indonesia. The final was between Gianyar vs Denpasar, with Denpasar winning by 20 runs (53 - 33).

So a repeat of the 2011 Bali Cricket League Grand Final with the UCC eager to take revenge for that loss and defend their title. But it wasn’t to be with the Veterans taking their 2nd trophy in 3 years with a 5/131 to 8/130 win over the UCC.

In a very unlucky final over for Bali, West Java found the runs by way of sundries to win 9/73 to 8/72. Bali Sports Foundation Ubud Team Captain - Gus Alit was awarded the Best Batsman of the U19 National Championship. BSF Cricket’s Wayan Sam commented “The Bali Sports Foundation is very proud of our team members that represented Bali.”

As we are in the rainy season, many sports are suspended until the new year, so best check using the contact addresses below.
