Why Timber (CLT) ?
Concrete and steel -
Concrete and Steel are like fuel and diesel non renewable resources. Cause high carbon pollution in production ,construction and garbage. Consume more time proportionally cost more. Became less attractive by the time.
Proposal Objectives -
Optimizing CLT transportation such like steel since it’s not local resource Provide affordable and flexible units Provide sustainble design follows breeam and leed regulation. Reduce steel and concrete usage.
- Renewable energy can be planted. - huge envriemental impact Reduce carbon footprint (up to 75% for 125m tall for thesame plot) - Up to 5 times faster than classic material - High energy efficiency. - light material compared to concrete and steel.
Limitation of CLT
- No local resource in UAE. - Non experienced workers.
- Hard to design openings. - Follows Compersion force only.

Creating more welcoming space and better view through double balcony connected to Bedroom. also show possibility of different structure system.
Sport city
Winner design by directorate of public works Urban Project
There have been many Sports Centers, which have aspired to this goal of transforming their communities. Most have not succeeded because they have been designed around a specific sporting event (with no long term facility plan), or they have failed to capture the character and culture of their cities. They are only able to inspire people at a distance and for a short time during events. What we are trying to achieve is true transformation by engaging the community and citizens of Sharjah — people will not only see but will also use the facilities as participants. (goal is toAchive active sport city all year)
Phasing strategy
The goal is to build a city can run from the first day by dividing construction into 3 faces each can run by itself.
Residential small Commercial Block Youth sports Equestrian Club Swimming arena Recreation center Secondary Stadium
Residential Main Stadium Main Hotel Heath Club Gov. services Mosque Theater/Stages
According to research best walking distance is around 450m or around 6 to 8 min
Residential Long term Academy City
The given site was around 2x2 km, which bring the gride of 500m in consider to create best circulation since its one of the major design criteria of any city.

1983m
Phase I
Phase II Phase III
The design now focuses on creating 7 Nodes each with a different function that supports the idea of phasing. with a different identity for each.
Connecting 6 nodes to the main nodes, by creating a clear visual path. pushing street underground to have a big open space that defines the main direction of the city rather than having a weak connection like a bridge.
Sports Facilities

Residential Block
Urban Layers
Street Layer
Mass and Void Layer
Heights Layer
Pedestrian Layer
Land Use Layer
Open Space Layer
the above layers show how the city works in terms of circulation, mass, open spaces. and how the main idea of an active city is accomplished.
Gathering Hub The central point of the city. it's a transition point between residential side and sports facilities. Although it shows how 6 point system and how pedestrian can find there way, where only 6 paths (yellow) people can take.
High School Cpncept
Oclassrooms against south where most solar radiation. And towards the courtyard.
Dividing the building helps to have each course to be separate from others. creating more side to let the sun light in.
Dividing building helps to : - more daylight - multiple accesses - exibility in wind movement - privacy for grades
placing the school’s main building : - having main meeting point for all grades at the main building (cantine, gym, etc.) - creating bridges for circulation and to connect all the buildings together.

Metro Station
Rhino-Grasshopper Concept
Sun Attractor
The parametric concept is aiming to widening the area of the gathering point which is the peak number of people during working hours which is the center. The entrance and exit of the metro station is a bit narrower
Triangular grid had been used for sun shading and sunlight based on the sun path movement. The attractor on the grid is used to either allow or block sunlight light and sun radiation to penetrate toward the interior of the
Structure Solution Steel trusses had been used as a mainelement to support the shell structure of the metro station. Those trusses as shown, gives the interior a nice touch and impressive look.
Pedestrian Bridge Part of P&T Competition
Concept The method uses Gravity principle, where the pieces falls to it’s own weight creating different facade treatment. The facade redice the usage of electrical motor to minimum. only one motor for full line ( one long main metal pipe), and big motor for the whole movement of the multiple pipes. Main pipe motor loctaion (End)
Wooden plate ( local Ghaf timber)
Main pipe connect all plates Big motor rotate all main pipes
Main pipe connect all plates where the plate fall and stop
