The Commerical Vehicle Show 2024 recap
The Commercial Vehicle Show is the largest gathering of truck manufacturers, support service and new technology from across the UK and Ireland road freight sector. This year’s event was held from 23th-25th April 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham and featured over 250 exhibitors.
The three-day event attracted over 11,500 visitors from a variety of backgrounds including: owners, directors, partners, executives from road transport businesses, fleet transport managers, engineers, finance and procurement professionals and many others from the public and private sectors. The footfall was exceptional this year, with 60% attending to see new vehicles/products and 98% holding purchasing power for vans/trucks.
The Commercial Vehicle Show has been uniting the industry together since 2000 in a one-stop show and each year keeps getting bigger, with new attractions. This year was no different with an exclusive new three-day expertled seminar discussing industry ‘hot topics’ such as decarbonisation and sustainable best practices, plus hot-offthe-press Ministerial announcements. The coverage now doesn’t stop with the show, with organisers now running a 52-week multi-media news platform and weekly e-newsletter to a 60,000-strong visitor database, allowing companies marketing exposure all year round.
This year saw an impressive line-up of HGV and LCV manufacturers, cameras, consumables, fleet management systems, van storage systems, vehicle conversions, garage and workshop equipment and electrical components and systems from across the UK and Ireland.
The dedicated workshop sector and cool chain sector areas proved popular again this year. The workshop showcases dedicated aftermarket services and vehicle maintenance exhibitors, including OE parts, replacement components through to complete maintenance management systems. The cool chain focuses on temperaturecontrolled requirements such as refrigerated equipment across the entire cold chain operation.
We were impressed by the scale and new vehicles showcased across the three-day event.
Our top handpicked exhibitors from the three-day event were Bradshaw Electric Vehicles and CheckedSafe.
