promoting the made not mass produced!

[home ]

Qing (pronounced Ching) was set up in 2007 by Anne-Marie Nixey and Mao Ping Yang. Passionate about promoting the made not mass produced from Mao Ping's hometown Beijing. Five designers and one artist showcase their work in the beautiful little shop in Margate's Old Town, where there are plenty of ideas for gifts to tempt you. Ceramics from Li, silk lighting from Chen and jewellery from Tian can all be found displayed on Yue's gorgeous furniture. As a former antique restorer you are spoiled between a part of history, or getting him to custom build your own piece! Of course not everything will fit into the showroom so peruse their website www.qingart.co.uk and you will be able to see the full range of excellent, hand built oak furniture and home furnishings they offer. Used for photoshoots, the most recent being for Graham and Brown Wallpaper and seen in BBC's Drama True Love Qing delivers all over the world and is making a name for quality and design.
