Bailey Lights is a well-known specialist in the field of light sources, related articles, and other lighting for professionals. What is less known is that Bailey Lights is also a specialist in temporary lighting.
Temporary lighting is often used in locations where permanent lighting is not practical or possible. This can be the case at events, construction sites, parking lots, terraces, or during roadworks. Additionally, certain forms of temporary lighting are often applied under special circumstances or to achieve specific temporary effects.

Some rules of thumb about light.
Difference between Lumen (lm) and Lux (lx)
Lumen is the value for ambient light. In other words, how much light a light source emits per second per watt in all directions. The more Lumen, the more light.
Lux is the value for directed light. In other words, how much light is measured on a specific work surface.
Simply put, a lamp always emits the same number of lumens, but the closer you place the light source to a wall, the more light will hit that wall, and the higher the lux value.
Note: the Lux values are theoretical values that are influenced by external factors such as other light, angle of radiation, and surface reflection.
Regular LED bulbs, LED Corn, and LED Rope are mainly used for general ambient light. In that case, Lux is of less importance than Lumen.
How much light do I require?
10lx For orientation (e.g. for demarcation or pathways)
20lx For more general tasks (e.g. loading/unloading and marking)
100lx For general work (e.g. carpentry, masonry, tiling etc.)
200lx For more specific work (e.g. installation of electrical systems or plumbing)
500lx For detailed work (e.g. painting, plastering, filling)
Light Colour
Roughly, there are 4 light colours that are most commonly used in LED: 1800-2200K is extra warm (mood) light comparable to candlelight, 27003000K is warm white light comparable to older incandescent bulbs, 4000K is neutral white light, and 6500K is referred to as cool white / daylight. For LED construction lights, 4000K or 6500K light is generally used depending on the type of work and the location of the working space.
IP-rating
The IP rating indicates how well a lighting fixture is resistant to water, dust, and dirt. The higher the rating, the better protected against the intrusion of dust and/or fluids.
IP-44 Dust and splash water resistant, IP-65 Dust and rain water resistant,
IK Rating
The IK rating of a product is an indication of its impact resistance and shock resistance.
The higher the IK value, the greater the impact resistance of a fixture.
IK-08 Resistance to shocks till 5 Joules. Protected against vandalism.
IK-10 Resistance to shocks till 20 Joules.
Resistant to vandalism.
The greater the risk of shocks during work, the higher the desired IK.
Multi-functional temporary bearer of light
Led Rope
The Robust Led Rope is a multi-functional temporary bearer of light. This light rope has been performing well on construction sites for years. However, it is also often spotted on scaffolding, fencing, at event locations, as pathway lighting, in ports, and even at campsites. Depending on the application (work lighting, decorative use, as a warning or for safety), various options are available in light intensity, light colour, and rope length.
With its wide range, Bailey caters to the countless applications that are possible with this very handy lighting product.
We use the 50-meter roll to light up corridors and spaces quickly and easily, so that we can get going with our jobs right away.
All Robust LED Ropes come with a 230V power supply featuring a built-in AC/DC adapter and a power cable.

Often we are on the construction site only for a few days, so it’s quite handy that we can roll up the light rope quickly and use it for the next job.
Do not light up the rope whilst on the reel. This may cause dangerous situations and/or malfunctioning due to overheating . Read the manual for use. 145829
Warning
The Robust Led Rope 360˚ light strip is frequently used as party lighting to brighten up tents, gardens, or buildings.
For example, during the Christmas period but also at festivals. On construction sites, this light strip is often used as marking or warning.
Red light is often applied as decoration but also has a warning effect. In dangerous situations, protruding parts, and places that need extra visibility, red light is commonly used. Although Bailey has not conducted any research to this end, it is often claimed that some flying animals that hunt at night are less disturbed in their regular flight paths by red-coloured light.

The green colour is often used for decoration for marking a boundary on scaffolding, cranes, fences, etc. This is because green light is friendlier to the eyes of both humans and animals. It creates less light pollution, less intrusive radiation for the environment, and moreover, the eye gets used to green light more quickly. This is particularly beneficial for areas under security.

Since these tasks often change location, it is convenient when the light can move with you. Ever since the introduction of LED, there has been an enormous evolution in the range of construction and inspection lamps including all sorts of handy features. However, there is still the good old work light with an E27 bulb holder where an incandescent bulb used to be screwed in.
This retro handlamp still exists however nowadays a LED bulb is screwed in. This way, you can determine the light colour and the light output yourself depending on the situation.

De Magnetic Beacon
The Magnetic Beacon LED RGBW is a handy and portable rechargeable beacon of light. A push button turns on and changes the light colour (3 shades of white and 10 other colours). With a magnetic back, it can be placed on metal surfaces. Additionally, a magnetic double-sided sticker is included, allowing it to be attached to other surfaces. Very convenient for jobs where no power outlet is available (e.g., camping). It can also be used as a warning light, at a party, or children’s rooms. Operating time is approximately 8 hours. LED Corn
The Robust Led Corn is a very special series. Essentially, these are enormous lamps without a lamp base. They provide a lot of lumen and are used where a lot of light is required. The Led Corn Mobile is connectable and for hanging purposes only. The Led Corn Balloon can be hung but also placed on a so-called tripod. The Led Corn Balloon always comes with a balloon. Because this lamp provides so much intense light, some experience the amount of light intrusive. In that case, you can place the balloon around the lamp with the Velcro as a light diffuser. The built-in fan then continuously inflates the balloon when it is turned on.
The Led Corn Balloon also has a Switch function that allows you to determine the intensity of the light.

LED Floodlights are often used as temporary lighting on construction sites. Together with the fencing the light is set up when the construction site is set-up. The floodlights are usually set-up on a pole or tripod (Tripod). The Bailey Floodlight Switch allows you to preset the light colour and intensity. This is quite convenient when you are not yet sure how much light is needed and which light colour fits best.

Combi- and Ecopack
Bailey has 4 combi-packs that combine a number of renovation lampholders with the same number of basic LED light sources. This allows the installer / craftsman to quickly provide light to the connection points in every room. Available in various versions. Indispensable in any work van.
Furthermore, Bailey has a whole range of Ecopack light sources for when you need more or less light or a different light colour. Ecopacks contain multiple light sources in 1 package. Conveniently packed which results in less excess packaging.

Led Party Balls
With the LED Party Balls Bailey Lights adds a whole new dimension to party and event lighting. The white opal ‘milky’ balls emit a beautifully soft ambient light (2500K). Inside the balls is a 1W energy-efficient light source that emits 100lm of light 360˚ around. These IP67 light strings are suitable for indoor and outdoor use and come with a 12W adapter and a connection cable.
The Light String
10 plastic balls of 10cm are centered on a 7.7m long cord (46 cm between each ball). The string can be extended with 1 extra Light Sting making it 20 balls (however this will reduce the light output to 60%). Using a 32W adapter (146784) the string can be extended up to 30 balls / 100% output and 40 balls / 60% output.

The Light String pendant
7 plastic balls of 10cm vertically centered on a pendant of 25cm, distributed over a 7.3m long cord (91cm between pendants). The string can be connected with 1 extra Light String up to approximately 15 meters making it 14 balls (this will reduce the light output to 60%).
Using a 32W adapter (146784) the string can be connected up to 28 balls (at 100% output).

Light Strings
String lights, festive lights, light hoses, party lights, light cables are just a few names used to refer to these strings with light sources. As many names exists, as many versions does Bailey have in the Party range. Below is an overview of the different versions of Light Strings that come with a separate light source. All these versions include a plug and connector with a covering cap. The strings can be connected, but be aware that the maximum load for LED is 350W (while taking into account the so-called Power Factor of the light source to accurately determine the final wattage).

Outdoor Pendant
Making indoor trends outdoor trends! The trend of creating a nice whole indoors with a pendant fixture and a beautiful decorative light source, can now also be extended to outdoors. Under the patio, in the garden, or on the terrace. The Outdoor Pendants from Bailey are available in 3m (item no. 143003) and 5m (item no. 143002).

I was able to create these playful height differences by placing the extensions in our string lights.
Light String lamp holder extension
The Bailey Light String Extensions are designed to literally and figuratively take the Light Strings with their corresponding bulbs to another level. Screw the E27 lamp base end into the socket so that you in fact extend the lamp holder. This allows for a playful effect with varying heights. It also ensures that the light in higher-hung Light Strings hangs lower. Available in 30cm (item no. 144983) and 50cm (item no. 144984).
Mini-Shade for Light String Pendant
The Mini-Shade is a nice addition for creatives who love ambiance. With this wavy metal lampshade, you can easily expand an existing combination of a light source in an E27 lamp base into a kind of mini fixture with a shade. This not only makes it much cozier but also regulates the light downwards, preventing light pollution upwards. Of course, the lamp base needs to be suitable for this. This is the case for the Bailey Outdoor Pendants (143002 and 143003), the Light String Pendant (143417), and the Light String Extensions (144983 + 144984).

Light String with built-in light source
In addition to the Light Strings without a light source, Bailey has 3 Light Strings with the light source already included. Each of the 3 Light Strings has its specific characteristics and advantages. You can find the detailed information on our website.
Party & Safe Bulbs
When applying Light Strings, you obviously need light sources. Preferably bulbs that are resistant to vandalism or do not break when stored after the season. This means not made of glass.
The most popular shape is the G45 globe bulb. Bailey has various colours available in this shape, as well as various clear bulbs with straight or twisted filaments.
Also available; the A60 (the pear shape), ST45, ST64, and even a G95 Globe. All made of Extra Strong Polycarbonate.
For the most popular models, we have created so-called Ecopacks. These contain multiple light sources (25 or 6 pieces) in 1 package. This is more convenient and produces less waste.

I am over the moon with the Spiraled Safe I use on my terrace. I used to use nice glass bulbs but they broke quite often causing dangerous situations. These bulbs are just as classy and a lot safer.

When you want to change the mood, you can temporarily replace the tubes in your fluorescent fixtures with a coloured LED version. Available in 3 colours in sizes 600mm, 1200mm, and 1500mm. Available in T5 and T8.

Special lamps
Bailey is a specialist in light sources and has a wide range that can be categorized as ‘special lamps.’ For a complete overview, visit our website and search in the product category Special Lamps. We will limit ourselves in this brochure to lamps that are often used (temporarily) for special occasions or to create special effects.
Blacklight Blue
Blacklight blue lamps are not only used to check the authenticity of banknotes or to inspect on certain liquids. They have also made their way into parties, theme parks, laser games, and bowling alleys. In the dark, certain colours are highlighted using these lamps, thus creating a special and festive effect.

Infrared lamps on my terrace allows me to stay open longer outside the spring/ summer season.
A celebration involves food and drinks. Many parties today are held outdoors and often require for the food to maintain its temperature. This can be done with infrared lamps. Despite being called lamps, they mainly emit heat and very little light. Wattage plays an important role in this; the higher the wattage, the more heat is generated. Additionally, there are infrared lamps that are used to keep people warm on terraces.

Decorative Led Theme light sources
Bailey has a wide range of decorative light sources but also table lamps, pendant fixtures, etc. where these light sources can be used.
