During 2013-14, we experienced another great year of philanthropic support from the Crescent School community toward the Great Boys campaign. Construction continued on the new Library and in June work began on the Latifi Family Commons. We secured over $3 million in new donations with notable commitments being made in support of endowed and expendable Student Financial Aid, Robotics & Technology, and the Library and Latifi Family Commons. We are very grateful to many members of the Crescent Family for joining us in financially supporting the transformative initiatives of the Great Boys campaign through their leadership level support. As has been the case since the campaign launched in 2010, major gifts are a key component to the success of Great Boys thus far. However, we also owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the vast majority of Crescent parents who faithfully support the Parent Annual Giving program every year. Many families continue to double or triple their contributions for each son, and we are particularly grateful for their strong support. Parents consistently contribute over $1 million each year via the Parent Annual Giving program, which in turn helps to fund campaign priorities including the Library and Latifi Family Commons, the Lau Family Wing, the Margaret Donnelly Lower School Library and our four programmatic initiatives for International Outreach, Robotics and Technology, Crescent Student Services and Student Financial Aid. Over the lifetime of the Great Boys campaign, Annual Giving will contribute in the range of $5 - $6 million toward our $30 million goal. Going forward, we will be working hard to complete the Great Boys campaign and raise the remaining $1.4 million needed to fully fund all capital projects and programmatic initiatives. We hope that those families who have not yet supported Great Boys will add their names to the ever-growing list of donors. We greatly appreciate the number of current and past parents, alumni, grandparents and friends who have and will consider making a stretch commitment to ensure our collective success. We are so proud to be part of the Crescent School family, which year after year, continues to inspire us with its generosity, encouragement, commitment and love for this School – our school. Sincerely, Barb Black P’08, ’10, ’14 and Paul Tompkins P’10, ’12, ’13 Great Boys Campaign Co-Chairs
