preparing for your shoot It is important to prepare for your session with Gorgeous Portraits, after all it is not every day you engage a professional portrait studio to capture your portrait! The session will take approximately 2 - 2.5 hours. We begin with makeup and hair during which time we will discuss what you would like from your session and how you will display your images.
beauty tips If you are due for a hair cut or colour and eye brow shaping make sure you fit this in a few days before the shoot. Wash your hair the night before and leave it product free on the day. Arrive at our studio without applying makeup or tinted moisturiser.
clothing tips Please choose five or more outfits. It is important to feel comfortable in the clothes you wear for the shoot. Bring outfits that you love to wear. Alternatively it can be a good excuse to go shopping! A variety of outfits will give you variety in your images. From casual to glamorous we love to photograph lingerie as well. Flowing dresses and anything pretty are great too! Fitted clothing works well to show the shape and contour of your body. Jeans and singlets, black or white, work well for a classic look. Costume jewellery, scarves or items that are special to you enhance the images. If you want to cover your arms, sleeved tops are flattering. Please have your clothing pressed before you arrive as there are no ironing facilities in the studio.
