VISTA HS Hard throwing left-hander who is in line to be one of SDSU’s primary starters in 2017 after seeing duty both in a relief and starting capacity the past three seasons … Played for the Brazos Valley Bombers in the Texas Collegiate League during summer 2016 where he was named a Second Team Summer Collegiate All-American by Perfect Game … Compiled a record of 5-1 with a 1.01 earned run average over nine appearances (seven starts, two complete games) … Recorded 52 strikeouts and 11 walks over 44.2 innings and led the league in ERA … Competed for the Eau Claire (Wis.) Express in the Northwoods League during the summer of 2014 … Made 11 appearances including four starts and had a record of 2-2 with a 3.43 earned run average … Has played summer baseball in the San Diego Area for the Vista Bulldogs (2012), The Show (2011) and the Palomar Bulldogs (2008-10).

SAN DIEGO STATE 2015 Began the season as the team’s No. 3 starter, but after three outings moved to the bullpen where he remained for 22 relief appearances … Made three relief appearances at the Mountain West Conference tournament, the last resulting in two scoreless innings vs. New Mexico in the championship contest on May 24 ... Longest start was 5.2 innings at UC Riverside on Feb. 21 in which he gave up a run on five hits with a season-high five strikeouts … Left the game with a 2-1 lead, but was not involved in the decision as UCR came back before SDSU won with a late rally … Longest relief stint was 3.1 innings vs. Texas Tech on March 14 in which he registered four strikeouts … Also recorded four strikeouts in 1.2 innings vs. Nevada on April 17 … Picked up the win in the victory vs. New Mexico on April 3 when he tossed one perfect inning of relief with a strikeout before the Aztecs won in the bottom of the 10th.
