Co-chairs Christina Forrest and Melinda Foote did an OUTSTANDING job of making the Gala a memorable and enjoyable event in so many ways. More BIG thanks to volunteers Naomi Anderson, Valerie Martin, Brienna Vallerie and chapter administrator Dottie Liebich for taking special care of our Awards event guests. Emcees Roland and Karen were FABULOUS. Our generous sponsors were INCREDIBLE so please remember them on your next award winning project. Congratulations to Valerie Martin who won the iPad she wanted so very badly. Faced with the dilemma of spending her extra cash on the beautiful centerpieces created by award winning floral designer Brad Heinicke of Plant Solutions, Industry Partner of ASID, she bought what turned out to be the winning raffle ticket from the roving cigarette girls to become the lucky owner of the coveted iPad. Proceeds from the raffle ticket sales, centerpiece sales, and event ticket sales contributed to the chapter donating $3,000 to the ASID Foundation. Let people say what they will about the economy, it was evident by both the record number of design entries (122), and the caliber of winning entries, that the relentless economic reality of this era has not dulled one bit the creative, artistic and talented efforts of ASID North’s members.
