The War Memorial On June 28 1923, in front of the population of Miquelon, a moving ceremony was organized, both to unveil the war monument and to bury Georges Girardin and Eugène Autin, two sailors who had died during the Great War and whose bodies were rapatriated to Miquelon on that very day by the naval ship Regulus.

Reconstruction of a fishing stage The village of Miquelon undertook this reconstruction in 2005 in order to show how people went about the cod fishery in the old days. There is a traditional dory and the necessary tools for dressing and storing fish.

The Cemetery This is a typical French cemetery. Take time to look at the various names on the tombs. The Baronne de l’Espérance, the wife of a Governor, was buried here on May 22, 1770, and that is probably the oldest tomb in the cemetery. Each year families honour their dead with flowers, a Catholic tradition that endures in the village,.
