Short holes often produce the longestlasting memories. A hole-in-one can generate a lifetime of conversation, and even near misses are brought up time and again. Every par-3 offers the possibility of the seemingly impossible happening, although the general odds of making an ace are estimated to be 12,500 to 1. Still, these holes can often stop you in your tracks with their views, perhaps nowhere more so than in Arizona, where the landscape can range from a pure desert setting to tree-framed panoramas at higher elevations. Here is just a small selection of the most scenic par-3 holes in the Grand Canyon State.
