Making moments count Flagstaff photography studio Tangled Lilac won over the readers of the Arizona Daily Sun and earned the “Best Photographer” award. We’ll meet with the shooters Melissa Dunstan and Kristen Carnes about their win this year. Best of the cuts A new business downtown, Proper Meats + Provisions has risen up the love list by picking up the Best of Flagstaff honor of Best Meat Department. Proper is bringing the idea of the local town butcher downtown. Parents are going bananas A brand new business that opened up has parents delighted, as the BananaLand Play & Café is a coffee shop and soon-to-be restaurant that also offers a play area for children that is supervised. This means relaxing with coffee while the kids are attended to. It’s a win-win.

Boot scooting wins the day The Museum Club won the Best of Flagstaff Best Place to Go Dancing category. While the club is not new to the category, it has done much to upgrade its venue and make it a draw following a big anniversary.
