Tam Trinh Interview Tam Trinh is an up and coming pool player and also entrepreneur. She custom designs many of the very essential things we need to play pool: pool cases, chalk holders, etc and she is also a tough competitor in every tournament she plays in. She’s making waves both on and off the table. Let’s find out more about Tam! Q: Where did you grow up? A: I grew up near the North Shore area of Massachusetts, which is about 20 miles outside of Boston, MA. I lived there for over 25 years. Q: How and when did you start playing pool? A: I have been playing since High School. My guy friends use to take

me to a local pool hall, Baystate Billiards (now closed) in Salem, MA. It was a social thing at first that became a passion. Then one day this random girl, Linda Huynh, messaged me to join her pool team, but I wasn’t 21 yet (that was the APA age limit at the time). She told me to message her back when I turned 21. So I did! I ended up not joining her team that year, but we became great friends and did play a few fun seasons together. I

joined my first league at age 21, and of course that year they changed the age limit to 18 haha. Thanks for introducing me to leagues, Linda! Q: What college did you go to and what is your degree in? A: I went to Suffolk University (Boston, MA) and then transferred to Northeastern University (Boston, MA) in Information Technology.
