Hole No. 1 Meter: 330 Par: 4 A 330m par 4, gives the player the option of playing short of, or attempting to carry, a stream bed which crosses the fairway. The reward for successfully negotiating this task is a shorter approach to a green flanked by both water and hollows. The punishment for failure is most probably a bogey, or even a double bogey if the second shot finds the adjacent lake.

Hole No. 10 Meter: 495 Par: 5 The opening hole at Bukit Unggul is a 495m dogleg left par 5. The tee shot plays dramatically downhill to a landing area granted on the left by a hollow bunker. The rolling fairway leads to a green located amongst dense vegetation and protected on the right by grassy hollow. The design of this hole is intended to facilitate a fast start. Hole no. 1

Hole No. 2 Meter: 150 Par: 3 Three bunkers front the green at hole #2, par 3 which measures 150m. To reach the left portion of putting surface, a forced carry over sand is necessary. However, for those who favour the bump and run, an opening has been left to access the right side of the green

I have been with this club since 2001 but never expected this promotion. My last post was Sales and Marketing Manager and it is a big step up for me. I have always given 100% in everything I do and perhaps that is one of the reasons the management asked me to take up this new position. big step up for me. I have always given 100% in everything I do and perhaps that is one of the reasons the management asked me to take up this new position. “Now that I have been entrusted with the responsibilities, I will go all out to show just what I’m capable of. My immediate target is to organise the Bukit Unggul Open. The last time we organised the Open was three years ago and I think the time is right to bring it

Hole No. 3 Meter: 445 Par: 5 Although the par 5 hole #3 is uphill and plays slightly longer than the official 445m, birdie is a realistic possibility. The tee shot must avoid a large lake on the right to permit a bold second shot over a nest of cavernous bunkers. If both these shots are successfully negotiated, eagle and birdie chances await. Hole No. 4 Meter: 365 Par: 4 A downhill drive provides an elegant beginning to this 365m par 4. From the tee, the player may attempt to fly a large expanse of sand strategically located at the corner of this dogleg right. The remaining downhill approach must avoid a bunker to successfully reach the putting surface. Left and right of fairway is out of bound. Hole No. 5 Meter: 270 Par: 4 Although hole #5 is the shortest par 4 on the course at 270m, it may also be the most interesting. From the tee, the gambling player may elect to drive the green through a narrow opening between fairway and greenside bunkers and the lake. Scores on this hole will range from birdie, and perhaps eagle, to bogey and worse. Right side of fairway is out of bound.

Hole No. 11 Meter: 405 Par: 4 Hole #11 is a 405m par 4 which plays through Hole no. 11 a jungle valley. Grass hollows dot the left side of the fairway and series of decks and ridges lead to the green. The putting surface is undulating and bunker awaits hooked approach shots on the left. Par is an excellent score on this hole. Hole No. 12 Meter: 335 Par: 4 Despite measuring only 335m, the par 4 hole #12 is an excellent test of golf. The fairway is perched on a ridge and both jungle and bunkers await errant shots. The green is flanked by pot bunkers on both sides, demanding a precise iron approach shot. Hole No. 13 Meter: 340 Par: 4 The 340m par 4 hole #13 doglegs to the left around the natural slope of the land. Mounding and hollows keep the golfer from cutting the corner, and a stream which fronts the right hand portion of the green meanders the length of the hole and crowds the tee shot’s landing area. Accuracy is the key to scoring well on this hole. Hole no. 13

Hole No. 14 Meter: 120 Par: 3 Hole #14 is a 120m par 3 which can be played in several fashions. With the pin in the front left portion of the green, alignment is the most important element of the golfer’s shot, as the extremely narrow target is paralleled by a creek. The right side pin position creates an entirely different shot which features a forced carry over the water. Hole no. 5

Hole No. 6 Meter: 366 Par: 4 Hole #6 is a difficult, moderate length (366m) par 4, which parallels water for its entire length. A lobe of fairway protrudes into the lake and the daring player may try to attain this alternate landing area. However, a carry of approximately 225m is needed to reach it safely. The undulating green is bordered by water and intricately contoured hollows, providing a fitting conclusion to this challenging hole. Hole No. 7 Meter: 168 Par: 3 Five tees help provide variety on this 168m par 3. A lone bunker protects the left side of the green and creates an extremely difficult pin position in the back left portion of the putting surface. Hole No. 8 Meter: 375 Par: 4 An optional landing area is provided on this 375m par 4 to create excitement and interest. If the player endevours to carry a subtantial distance over a series of bunkers, the reward is an open approach to a green located significantly uphill. For those who take the safe route, serpentine greenside traps are forcefully in play. Hole No. 9 Meter: 355 Par: 4 The 355m par 4 finishing hole is designed as a stern test of a player’s ability. An ominous bunker punctuates the left side of the fairway. The thinking Hole no. 9 golfer will want to place his tee shot close to this trap to help avoid a rugged bunker located to the right of the green. Ths putting surface is boldly undulated to ensure challenge through the final putt. Left side of fairway is out of bound.

Hole No. 15 Meter: 470 Par: 5 The tee shot on this 470m par 5 sets up the play for the remainder of the hole. A well-placed shot will allow the player to attempt to reach the green in two. A poor tee shot will force a lay-up and a treacherous pitch to an elongated green fronted by two pot bunkers. A beautiful waterfall awaits a bad hook on the left side of the green.

Hole No. 16 Meter: 329 Par: 4 Hole #16, a 329m par 4, features a complex of bunkers and a stream to create challenge. Sand and water narrow the landing area and the same elements protect the right side of the green. The conservative player will favour the left portion of this putting surface. Hole No. 17 Meter: 160 Par: 3 The 160m par 3 hole #17 requires a well struck mid-iron to reach the relative safety of the putting surface. A massive bunker stretches from the green back toward the tees and adds a significant intimidation factor to this hole. To play well here, the golfer must be in control of his emotions as well as his game. Hole No. 18 Meter: 380 Par: 4 A strong 380m par 4 returns to The Clubhouse. The corner of this dogleg right is guarded by an irregularly-shaped bunker which directs play to the left side of the fairway. From this angle, it is an uphill shot to a very tricky green. A par is an excellent score for this hole.
