Ayden Hector
Ayden Hector is a remarkable person who has made significant strides in his academic and athletic careers and gives back to his community. He is a shining example of a college student who has excelled despite the difficulties and pressures that students nowadays must deal with. Ayden started his academic career in Sammamish, Washington's Eastside Catholic High School, where he earned consecutive As and was often named to the honor roll. He engaged in various extracurricular activities, athletics, and service opportunities before graduating in 2020 with a well-rounded education. He became proficient in Microsoft applications in high school, which later helped him in college. He was also a gifted athlete and received many football all-state honors. Ayden has combined academic success with athletic achievement at Colorado State University, where he plays defensive back for the Rams. His passion for football began early, and his dedication has translated into rapid growth at the collegiate level. Despite appearing in only seven games, he earned all-conference honors, showing his natural ability and resilience. His work ethic and leadership have made him an essential part of the team’s long-term vision and development. The 2022 season was a breakout year for Hector, as he became one of the defense’s most reliable players. His season totals included 24 tackles and three interceptions, underscoring his consistency and ability to perform under pressure. On October 7, he delivered one of his best performances, recording eight tackles and returning an interception for a touchdown. With three years of eligibility still ahead, he is poised to make further contributions and help the Rams achieve success. Outside of athletics, Ayden Hector’s sense of responsibility to others has remained constant. He launched B.Box in high school to provide birthday boxes for homeless teens and continues the initiative today through Colorado State’s food pantry.
