Kyle’s Kitchen Voted Best Goleta Restaurant by the Santa Barbara Independent Readers, Kyle’s Kitchen is so much more than just a place to get Great Burgers, Salads and Ice Cream. It’s a local family-owned and family-friendly restaurant with a mission to support the local special needs community. Inspired by the owner’s son Kyle, a 15 year old boy born with special needs, who is not only the namesake of the restaurant but more importantly, his loving and joyful personality is the brand itself! It hasn’t been an easy road for Kyle, as he was born with an undiagnosed brain injury. He couldn’t see until he was six months old, couldn’t crawl until three years old, and learned to walk when he was five. Today, after thousands of hours of hard work, Kyle is a sophomore at Dos Pueblos High School, works at his restaurants, and hangs out with his guests - his favorite part of the day!

Each quarter, Kyle’s Kitchen works with a different special needs organization; creating awareness, matching volunteers, and giving a healthy portion of their proceeds back to the cause. The chalkboard walls at their restaurants track the progress, Kyle’s Kitchen has given back well over $150,000 to the special needs community since opening in 2015! In addition to Kyle’s social mission, the restaurants are also dedicated to the highest quality food. Every day they make over 1,000 brioche and wheat buns from scratch, use only grass-fed beef and all natural chicken without antibiotics, and pair fresh local produce with house-made dressings creating innovative taste combinations. Kyle’s Kitchen has three restaurants in Goleta and Santa Barbara and has won many awards since opening in 2015, most recently in 2018 “Best Goleta Restaurant” as voted by readers of the Santa Barbara Independent as well as “Best New Restaurant” and “Most Innovative Business” in years past. They are also one of five restaurants in California to win the prestigious “Neighborhood Award” given by the National Restaurant Association. When you hear Kyle’s whole story of giving back to the special needs community, and the care placed in their food, it’s no wonder their slogan is “Eat Great Food. Help Great People.”
