Reverse Skip Tooth Scroll Saw Blades These blades have the same basic tooth geometry as skip blades except that a limited number of reverse teeth have been added to the bottom of the blade. Reverse teeth prevent splinters from developing on the underside of the workpiece because the top teeth do not cut entirely through the work. All operating parameters are the same as other blades. Modified Geometry Scroll Saw Blades
Cutting the piece on the scroll saw is only half the battle. Finishing often requires a little judicious sanding, removing cut marks, the odd bump or just the fuzz left by the blade. These Pegas Scroll Sand Papers with plain ends help immensely and offer a degree of control. They work on curves, concave or convex edges and can reach into corners. Supplied in packs, each containing four strips, these long life abrasive strips fit most scroll saws that take standard unpinned blades. The high quality abrasive has a durable, flexible backing fitted with fibreglass-reinforced holders. Mounting the abrasive strip is as easy as changing a scroll saw blade. The strips are available in 6mm or 12mm widths in a choice of 80, 120, 240 and 320 grits. They are a perfect fit on Pegas, Excalibur, Axminster, Carbatec, Excelsior and Seyco scroll saws. The kitchen table is all very well, but you have better control when you have your fretsaw at the right height. This universal stand is just the right height and size for our smaller scroll saws standing at 980mm with a top measuring 250 x 410mm. This stand is not made to fit any specific models, you will probably need to drill some mounting holes to suit your machine. You may also need to add a larger sub-table (MDF or plywood plate) to give extra support to the larger models. The splayed legs give stability without getting in the way and are braced with a very useful shelf. All in all, this stand is the perfect complement to your scrollsaw old or new.
