Supported and Smart Internships

These courses are designed for identified learners with a current Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), who wish to re-engage or access full time work, but may need support into the world of work. Students will be in a work placement 4 days a week and attend College 1 day a week developing English and maths skills for work, whilst refining their employability skills.

Students entering the Fast Forward programme can sample different vocational and skills-based units each term, rather than committing to one course straight away, helping to develop new skills for employment. Supported by a team of work coaches, mentors and support staff, students find the next progression route that is right for them, whether they want to progress into work, a full-time vocational course, an apprenticeship or traineeship. Fast Forward is a flexible and supportive route to get there.
