Fun, Friendship and Fair Play AWA Tennis Update for Jan/Feb 2021 AWA Magazine AWA Tennis is busy, busy, busy! Since we returned to the courts in July, we’re so happy that the faces we often see on the courts have been joined not only by new members, but also by members new to tennis. How do we know? The Beginner Discover Tennis Clinics held on Mondays at Savitar Tennis Centre have been the tennis activity in hottest demand. As a result, we have been able to offer for the first time a Doubles Match Play (DMP) session for Beginners, in addition to the popular DMP for Intermediate and Advanced players. Tennis Committee news The Tennis Committee welcomes Paige Okun as the new AWA Tennis chair, as we thank Georgina Webster for her many years as chair and member of the Committee. Paige has lived in Singapore for 17 years and has played tennis on-and-off for about 14 of them. She has been a part of the AWA Membership and Marketing Committee for several years.
