How to Recover Your Data From Avast Virus Chest?

Avast uses Chest for providing a safe location for files that need to be isolated from your computer system, so when they are in Chest you can decide to take appropriate action. It is basically a place where Avast stores dangerous files so they can’t do harm to your computer. When Avast suspects an item as malicious, it automatically places them in its Virus Chest. If you mistakenly open a Chest item, it won’t spread it and all of the removed security risks are automatically backed up in Security History. As our Avast Support Nz suggests this way, you can restore any risk or unintentionally delete file and regain the functionality.

On your desktop, double-click the antivirus and launch the Avast protection. • On the main screen, select Security then click the History tab. • Under the Security options, in the Virus Chest window, click any of the items/ object you want to get back. • Here, in the Details pane, select the Options button.

• Now, you will see two options, either Restore & exclude this file or just restore. You can choose any of the options.

• If you happen to choose Restore and exclude, then this will return the selected item to its original location without fixing it and also exclude from future scans. And if click Restore, the selected item will return to its original location without any fixing, but will be accept for future scans.

• Click Yes, in the Restore window.

• After you do this, the antivirus will ask you to browse for a folder, in that case, select any folder or drive where you wish to retrieve that file or program, then click the Ok button. • After clicking the Yes button, click on the Close button to save changes and close the current window as well as exit the antivirus utility.

The above steps are easy to understand and easier to comprehend.
