The honey-dipped sun of summer spills its rays onto our backs and paints our shoulders golden It scorches the sands and directs the salted waters to lap and spray It drives men wild as they devour melons of yellow in the late afternoon And women catch drips of melted vanilla cascading down waffled cones Red Vespas race through narrow streets They are buzzing bees driving towards the night Men emerge from T-shirt tribes and women from stiletto sororities Samba beats pound the cobbled pavements as warm winds kiss our necks And as the bubbles of sweet champagne rise up in our stomachs, the canned heat of sexuality explodes with summer in mind - Avadon
