BOX ASSEMBLY
For this project, we were asked to design a wooden box using joinery techniques learned in the Intro to Craft class. The parameters of the assignment was that it had to have a moving component and hold a max volume of 275 cubic inches. I began this project in person, physically working in the woodshop but COVID had other plans. We moved the class to virtual and I had to take everything I learned about the joinery of wood and apply the methods in a digital format. This assignment taught me how to approach a problem rationally and with intent in mind. Order of operations was a huge component, and it allowed me express my interests in wood and details.
