Skin Deep by Anthony Moman 5th July – 8th August Exploring the enigma of Warhol and his impact on pop art, Anthony Moman’s forthcoming Skin Deep exhibition at the Albergo Villa Casanova questions the relationship and adulation of the voyeur and pop art icons. Who were Marilyn, Audrey, James Dean and Steve McQueen? Were they worshipped for their onscreen or off-screen personalities? Anthony Moman depicts pop art and screen idols in his unique and charismatic style. Skin Deep will be available to be viewed 5th July 2012.

Originating from the United Kingdom, artist Anthony Moman migrated with his family to the Italian countryside surrounding Lucca in 2004. It is reported that Dante stayed at the family’s 12th century villa which overlooks Luca. A deconsecrated family chapel located next to the villa has been converted into an artist studio.

Favouring art from a young age, and studying at St. Albans College of Art & Design, Anthony began sculpting in bronze and then went on to painting in oil. While Living near to the North Norfolk cost in the United Kingdom with its huge skies and endless beach inspired Anthony with his blending of colours and love of landscapes.
