Plein(d)e ligne(s) : _Pleine Ligne competition _loc: Roland Garros, Paris, France _keywords: public space, sport, tennis _year: 2012 Roland Garros is one of the most famous tennis tournament. But the site and its suroundings aren’t adapted to welcome people and are deserted as soon as the tournament is over. This proposal gives more importance to the public spaces, thus giving a real public space for visitors who have to wait for a game or just want to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the tournament.

Snowies : _SMNPG Arch Competition _loc: Snowies, Australie _keywords: community, housing, environment _year: 2014 A little student competition consisting in designing an “abode hub in the Snowies, Australia. My proposition is an ecolodge for hikers and research teams working on the flora and fauna of this mountainous area. The result is a space made both for leisure and working. The simple volume made with straw and wood is eco-friendly and fits in its wild environment. The different spaces are organised around a central circulation distributing heat in every room and leading to a roof terrace-staging the landscape of the Snowies.

Dojo :

_student work, 2nd grade _loc: Ivry-sur-Seine, Val-de-Marne, France _keywords: public building, martial arts, landscape architecture _year: 2012 Designed at a human scale, this dojo fits into the park topography with the fighting arenas placed in a part of the building underground, allowing its height not to overpower the landscape. Several ramps leading to the main volume as well as the accessible roof generate a fluidity of movement and circulation. A private ramp for the fighters leads to a naturally lit arena. A ramp on the exterior wall leads up and around the building, guiding the visitors to the botanical garden on the roof where a panoramic view on the park and Paris’ skyline can be seen.

CNSMDPXIII : _student work, third grade _loc: Paris, France _keyword: public building, education, culture, music, theater, dance _year: 2013

For this project, the challenge was to design a school for performing arts that included research laboratories for experimenting with sound. This building can be accessed on two different levels.

Two public levels that include an auditorium physically support the school and the labs. 14

The huge concrete structural walls are generating a breach guiding students and visitors from the street to the interior of the building. An exterior courtyard protected by the buildong can be found in back of the site. The massive experimental volume reflects the sunlight directly in the courtyard.

15

The inner building material of concrete contrasts the exterior double-skin, translucent faรงade. This faรงade allows natural light to illuminate the different spaces while also creating a visual barrier for the studios. From the street, the building is thus showing a little in spite of its bigness. Once entered, visitors discover a building of fragmented volumes. The two last levels are dedicated to danse and drama. Three spaces are connected and communicate easily. The roof filtrates natural light into these large spaces, as well as give more light to the vertical circulation.

_student works and competition [1 : 1 ] : The subversive Cottage, fourth grade _loc: everywhere _keywords: bottom-up, public space, subversive, experimentation _year: 2013

Is there something extra that today’s public spaces can give back? What can these spaces be adapted to do? We were asked to create a “pièce en plus”– an additional space for the public realm to enhance the space. The idea was to hijack adverse elements that can be found in many cities, and adapt it to have a new purpose. The project was developped in a Bottom Up way of thinking : By working in the field and experimenting in public spaces, my team and I developed a kit of parts that attach to scaffolding structures. The kit contains swings for enjoyment or seats and tables for social activities.

This next challenge was to study our own school and think about if it needed a “pièce en plus” and what would that look like. Being a student of the school myself, I was able to understand the problems of the school: the vast space of the ground floor is wasted, the entrances are unclear there are not enough rooms for studio work. The ground floor is transformed into a place for construction and experimentation of one to one scale projects, while the first floor is completely redone. Giving the first floor more space creates a new center of gravity and offers new types of spaces for different ways of working, changing from the classic classroom setting.

Fabrique du goût :

_Master degree final project _loc: Rungis, Chevilly-Larue, Val-de-Marne _keywords: infrastructure, industrial, suburban, cooking, mobility, agriculture _year: 2015

8 km south of Paris is located the “Orly-Rungis” economic and industrial hub. It’s a complex territory torn appart by infrastructure and logistic areas and the huge Rungis Market. This suburban landscape used to be rural, and its agricultural remains can still be seen around the Rungis area. Rungis Market is one of the biggest fresh products market in the world, but it isolates neighboring suburbs. My project aims to reconnect this territory, for people to move freely and to reveal green corridors. The Rungis Market boundaries will be transformed to be more urban and open gastronomy, urban agriculture and more responsible ways of producing.

After an analysis of this complex territory, I had a prospective and programmatic approach of the site which led to an urban plan giving more coherence, developping mobility and bringing lives to reactivate this industrial area. Finally, an architectural project, a hub designed like a new part of Rungis Market and dedicated to the public. This

Architecture et Bande Dessinée, une liberté de la ville. Third grade My research for this written work was based on my passion for architecture and comics. I wanted to understand more about how is architecture represented in comic books in the graphic sense and what is the importance.

ARCHITECTURE ET BANDE DESSINEE, UNE LIBERTE DE LA VILLE Comment l'architecture représentée devient une architecture narrative

ENSAPVS _ JUIN 2013 RAPPORT DE LICENCE BOHL-VIALLEFOND Augustin _ Groupe

During my study of the different themes, time periods, authors and styles, I realized that architecture at all scales plays an important part of comic books. Architecture helps to define the different fictional cities and worlds for the characters.

Architecture Relationnelle Fourth grade This research is formed around the question of “what are the processes of creation by which we arise emotions in today’s architecture ?”

ARCHITECTURE RELATIONNELLE

My research analyses the patterns used by architects and hoxw they create the special relationship with people and the spaces. I established links between many works in architecture and focus my research on comparing Bernard Tschumi’s and Sanaa’s works, realizing the form is not the priority, and that the projects are trying to narrate a space where we can feel a sensation of infinity.

Hutongs Fitfth grade

胡同 HUTONG

This work explores the historical and popular districts of Beijing known as Hutongs to comprehend an urban reality of China today. How the city transforms itself and how the built heritage is sacrified. Hutongs are part of central Beijing for centuries and evolved from traditionnal houses to community housing after the revolution. This very interesting process of the urban fabric is facing new urban scales and slowly disapearing. Today a new generation of chinese architects such as Ma Yansong, Standard architecture or Pei Zhou are opposed to this “tabula rasa” .
