Drew Trahms competed in the Miss Minnesota pageant, and received the Miss America Academic Scholarship, an award given to one contestant at every state-level associated pageant. She was also awarded one of five Quality of Life scholarships given at the pageant. CLASS OF 2013 Paul Berndt married KayLa Gerlach on July 13, 2013. Paul is attending medical school at the University of South Dakota, and KayLa is employed at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
