SOUTHPAW ROOFING

1211 Summerhill Road, North Augusta, SC 706-860-6650 | southpawroofing.com

Best business advice I ever received: Be confident in your abilities and don’t be afraid to go after what you want.

I describe success as achieving goals that you have set out for yourself (small or big) and helping others along the way.

The secret to good business is to make sure you do what you say you’re going to do and strive every day to be the best at your trade. At Southpaw Roofing we aim to be the top in our industry while maintaining our integrity and the trustworthiness that our customers love about us.

I love what I do because I get to connect with people and other business leaders in our community, all while being a part of a successful team. All of my co-workers at Southpaw Roofing really embrace the team mentality, and we work together to help facilitate company growth by making sure our customers are top-priority.

I stay involved in our community by donating time and resources to many non-profit organizations to include: Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Adult & Youth Leadership programs; Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program; Realtors of Greater Augusta Community Services committee; Builders Association of Metro Augusta Sales & Marketing council and Professional Women in Building committee; former Easterseals of East Georgia board member.

I’m thankful for the support that both my home and work family give me. They make me a better person, push me to step outside of my comfort zone and support me in all of my crazy endeavors.

I wish more women knew how to get rid of the word “just”. To me, it diminishes the value of what you’re saying.

ELEGANT BRIDALS

3225 Riverwatch Pkwy, Augusta 706-736-8224

Our Mission: Each day it is a privilege to say yes to our brides as she selects possibly the most important garment she will ever wear. We love helping brides create their vision that is as unique as her own love story. We love to say yes to her for all of her needs and wishes in the creation of her dream wedding gown. Can I add sleeves? Yes! Can I change the neckline? Yes! Can I change the color? Yes! Our favorite word is Yes with the hopes that the last Yes is hers when she says Yes! To her Dress!

Best Business Advice I ever received: The banker who initially approved our business loan and SBA loan over 23 years ago advised us to keep our day jobs as we built the business, to hire a manager, and to not count on a new business to support itself and our personal family. We never imagined it would take years for the store to support itself.

The most important thing we do: Listen to her words and hear her heart. Each of our brides comes to us with the same purpose but with very different paths down the aisle. Some brides know exactly what they want and never even consider anything but what is in their imagination. Then there are brides who have no idea or vision of what they want or how they want to look. Our talent lies in listening to her words, seeing her reaction to her reflection in the mirror, and helping her to trust and follow her heart.

The secret to good business is: always the golden rule! Treat others the way that you want to be treated. There is a saying that people may not remember exactly what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel. Each and every day we as a team affirm why we are here to serve others, who we serve in faith, and are truly thankful for the opportunity to serve each and every bride and bridesmaid party. As a business that is run by women for women, our staff knows how important this day is and wants to celebrate our brides in this most special life moment.

WILLOW ESTHETICS STUDIO

609 Ponder Place Drive, Suite A, Evans 706-832-4106 | willowesthetics.com

My motto: “Elevate your escape, get the results you desire.” Come and sink into relaxation, escape reality for a little bit, and achieve the skin goals you desire. Then walk out confident and ready to face the world, recharged and ready.

Our services include: Custom Luxury Facials, Full Body Waxing and Brow/Lash Services

I’m thankful for: All of my seemingly failed moments and seasons, that have lead me to where I am now. Owning my own business has its hard moments, but God has prepared me through my past. I am also blessed and truly thankful for my clientele. I look forward to seeing and meeting everyone when they come in. We do life together. We cheer each other on, cry together, laugh together, vent it all out. I am so thankful.

My clients appreciate: My authenticity and honesty. I strive to make clients feel their most comfortable while at Willow Esthetics.

I hope more women will: I wish more women would be easier on themselves. Women have so many “jobs” and “hats” they wear and falsely make themselves these high standards they believe they have to live up to in order to be a “good wife, mom, friend, employee” when in reality they leave everyone wondering “how they do it all, how they are always so positive or how they’re always so happy.”

The most common question I get: “Is it weird doing Brazilians/intimate waxing?” And my answer would be “not anymore.” I’ve taken all of my not so great experiences I’ve had in the past to create an appointment that is 100% about you and your comfort. I make it as quick and simple as possible, and have my clients smiling or laughing through their appointment. It helps everything go by much quicker and feel more at ease.

When I’m not in the at work: I’m a mama of three girls 7, 4 and 7 months, and wife to my highschool sweetheart, a Richmond County Fire Department Sergeant. You can find me with my girls between dance classes and church activities. My husband and I frequent cute restaurants throughout the area. But you’ll most often find me in my element at my fav local coffee shoplistening to a podcast, or meeting friends in my free time.

My clients choose to do business with me because I am experienced and always have their best interest at heart.

It teaches people the value of home ownership and helps them get on a path to achieve it. I also enjoy connecting new Augustans with others in the community to help them plug in with their unique talents. It is also important to me to pray for our local leaders and our community as a whole.

The best business advice I’ve ever received was to focus on your own business. We can easily get distracted by what others are doing and compare ourselves. There will always be newer businesses popping up and more “advanced” ways of doing things. My success comes from staying true to my interests and values. Having 20+ years of experience helps too.

My Motto: “Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.”

My mission is to teach proper skin care and to offer a customized regimen to my clients. So many women go overboard with injections and cosmetic procedures, sometimes changing the entire structure of the face. I love to give clients their confidence back by helping them achieve their skincare goals, while growing old gracefully.

Im most proud of the hardworking people I surround myself with. First, my husband. He’s truly my inspiration and the best advisor. Then my team, I couldn’t be more proud of the talent and professionalism from my colleagues. I’m so grateful for them.

My Mission: My personal mission is to become the best version of myself. I want to allow myself the freedom to change, make mistakes, live with passion, love with kindness and laugh with a heart filled with joy. I certainly do not feel that I have become that person quite yet, but I am on my way. I want to always be open to growing and learning. Life has taught me some beautiful and very painful lessons over these 40ish years. We are all students of life. Showing up as my authentic self is so important to me. My core values are authenticity, generosity, fun-loving and compassion.

Best advice: The best advice that I have ever been given is to “forgive quickly”. This lesson was much harder for me to implement in my youth! Now, I realize how much mental and emotional space we waste holding on to unforgiveness. I try to grant and ask for forgiveness quickly. This piece of advice has helped me in my personal and professional life. I prefer peace over chaos. Forgiveness has given me exponential peace, and I am so grateful for that gift!

Our clients have excellent results in as little as 30-45 days. These results make our clients feel cared for, and they remind us that our expertise is very valuable. We are here to help!

I hope more women will: I hope more women will practice good self care. Women are a very important part of this world. We support. We love. We carry. We deliver. We create. We correct. We drive. We suggest. We lift. We give so much of ourselves to the world around us. We care about “everything” including our families, our kids, our jobs, our parents, our career decisions, breast exams, the environment, school activities, car line, playdates, doctor’s appointments, school supplies and OB-Gyn appointments. This list is very short compared to what is typically on our minds on any given day (LOL). Women...remember to practice good self care. YOU are the glue for your families!

The Secret to good business is an unwavering daily commitment to do the right thing for my clients & co-workers and never lose sight of the big picture.

I love what I do because buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person will make in their life and I get to take that journey with them. My mission when I started this business almost 10 years ago was to help women and men feel better about themselves. Whether its with facial aesthetics, vitamin injections or simply listening and providing a comfortable space to talk.

I opened this business because I had been in a clinical setting for almost 19 years and enjoyed the aspect of nursing but wanted to reach people on a different level. I wanted to offer a unique, boutique wellness clinic that would be a place where patients could start the process of anti-aging whether it is just a conservative chemical peel or as far as laser resurfacing and thread lifts. It can be confusing and a scary time for people and we want to develop that personal relationship with them, our patients are almost like a family.

I’m most proud of “my why”... I feel as though my staff and my patients would agree that I have protected and built this business with my whole heart and passion. I work up to 10 hours some days, and fly to another state the next day to train offices from all over the U.S. I can’t seem to get enough of spreading our vibe and my love for aesthetics.

It literally takes everyone to get the job done! From inspectors, appraisers, cleaners, landscapers, photographers, attorneys, repair folks, all types of trade work to get us to the closing table. It is the best of the best customer service I can give my clients!

Most people are surprised when they learn that my mom and sister are also in real estate. My mom received her brokers license in 1976 and my sister has been selling real estate for over 15 years. They are in Arizona but it is great to have a family that can help each other problem solve. I have years of knowledge to help me make the best decision for my clients.

Our motto “Encore... Because it is always okay to want more.”

Our mission is celebrating and creating a community of women who support and uplift each other through fashion. We strive to make ALL women feel and look like their best selves!

The most important things we do is to boost confidence and to give back to the community that supports us. We help when we can, we listen to our customers and consignors and lift spirits when needed. We laugh, we cry and we are a community of women who hype each other up!

The secret to good business is a great team! Jazz, Shari, Jada and I work together; but it’s more than that. We are friends, family, one in spirit. It’s what makes us successful and our clients see that, “feel” that spirit. It makes them feel good and why they return time and time again.

I’m thankful for Jazz, Shari and Jada and of course the whole Encore family

(customers and consignors), and the constant support and encouragement that we receive from the community.

Our clients choose us because we are just like them. We are not perfect. We have bad hair days and days that nothing goes right. But we are also wild, wonderful, hard working, untamed and incredible.

Our clients appreciate our personalized service. We offer large selections of clothes, jewelry, accessories and unique items. But not everything is for everyone. We want to make sure you look good and you feel good. Who are we kidding? They love our great music, and the comedic banter amongst the staff!

Most of all we want you all to know that Encore Boutique and consignments supports and champions all of the dynamic women in the CSRA. Here’s to all the wild, wonderful, hard working, untamed and incredible ladies who constantly raise each other up. Dynamic women ... may we know them ... may we raise them.

My motto is “Be present where my feet are planted.” As an entrepreneur, mom and businesswomen I have to tell myself this daily with there being so many ideas that I want to being to fruition, daily tasks to complete and goals that I want to achieve.

I am most proud of my two daughters and the blessing of being a mother; I learn so much about myself through them everyday.

I hope more women will: I wish more women knew to prioritize their mental, emotional and physical health first. Prioritizing and taking care of our body, mind and spirit so we can be fully present and effectively there for your family and friends.

The best business advice I ever received is before I can have what I want, I need to first become the person who does the things to get there. It’s called the BE. DO. HAVE. Model. and it reminds me to become the person I need to be first in order to have what you want.

The secret to good business is always put God first and lead with integrity.

My clients choose us because they appreciate how detail-oriented and proactive I am. I often get clients who say they are happy with how caring and knowledgeable I am about all facets of the home-buying and selling process.

I’m thankful to God for my life and the experiences that have shaped me into the strong, resilient and loving woman I am today.
