Best business advice I ever received: Be confident in your abilities and don’t be afraid to go after what you want.

I describe success as achieving goals that you have set out for yourself (small or big) and helping others along the way.

The secret to good business is to make sure you do what you say you’re going to do and strive every day to be the best at your trade. At Southpaw Roofing we aim to be the top in our industry while maintaining our integrity and the trustworthiness that our customers love about us.

I love what I do because I get to connect with people and other business leaders in our community, all while being a part of a successful team. All of my co-workers at Southpaw Roofing really embrace the team mentality, and we work together to help facilitate company growth by making sure our customers are top-priority.

I stay involved in our community by donating time and resources to many non-profit organizations to include: Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Adult & Youth Leadership programs; Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program; Realtors of Greater Augusta Community Services committee; Builders Association of Metro Augusta Sales & Marketing council and Professional Women in Building committee; former Easterseals of East Georgia board member.

I’m thankful for the support that both my home and work family give me. They make me a better person, push me to step outside of my comfort zone and support me in all of my crazy endeavors.

I wish more women knew how to get rid of the word “just”. To me, it diminishes the value of what you’re saying.

Our Mission: Each day it is a privilege to say yes to our brides as she selects possibly the most important garment she will ever wear. We love helping brides create their vision that is as unique as her own love story. We love to say yes to her for all of her needs and wishes in the creation of her dream wedding gown. Can I add sleeves? Yes! Can I change the neckline? Yes! Can I change the color? Yes! Our favorite word is Yes with the hopes that the last Yes is hers when she says Yes! To her Dress!

Best Business Advice I ever received: The banker who initially approved our business loan and SBA loan over 23 years ago advised us to keep our day jobs as we built the business, to hire a manager, and to not count on a new business to support itself and our personal family. We never imagined it would take years for the store to support itself.

The most important thing we do: Listen to her words and hear her heart. Each of our brides comes to us with the same purpose but with very different paths down the aisle. Some brides know exactly what they want and never even consider anything but what is in their imagination. Then there are brides who have no idea or vision of what they want or how they want to look. Our talent lies in listening to her words, seeing her reaction to her reflection in the mirror, and helping her to trust and follow her heart.

The secret to good business is: always the golden rule! Treat others the way that you want to be treated. There is a saying that people may not remember exactly what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel. Each and every day we as a team affirm why we are here to serve others, who we serve in faith, and are truly thankful for the opportunity to serve each and every bride and bridesmaid party. As a business that is run by women for women, our staff knows how important this day is and wants to celebrate our brides in this most special life moment.

My motto: “Elevate your escape, get the results you desire.” Come and sink into relaxation, escape reality for a little bit, and achieve the skin goals you desire. Then walk out confident and ready to face the world, recharged and ready.

Our services include: Custom Luxury Facials, Full Body Waxing and Brow/Lash Services

I’m thankful for: All of my seemingly failed moments and seasons, that have lead me to where I am now. Owning my own business has its hard moments, but God has prepared me through my past. I am also blessed and truly thankful for my clientele. I look forward to seeing and meeting everyone when they come in. We do life together. We cheer each other on, cry together, laugh together, vent it all out. I am so thankful.

My clients appreciate: My authenticity and honesty. I strive to make clients feel their most comfortable while at Willow Esthetics.

I hope more women will: I wish more women would be easier on themselves. Women have so many “jobs” and “hats” they wear and falsely make themselves these high standards they believe they have to live up to in order to be a “good wife, mom, friend, employee” when in reality they leave everyone wondering “how they do it all, how they are always so positive or how they’re always so happy.”

The most common question I get: “Is it weird doing Brazilians/intimate waxing?” And my answer would be “not anymore.” I’ve taken all of my not so great experiences I’ve had in the past to create an appointment that is 100% about you and your comfort. I make it as quick and simple as possible, and have my clients smiling or laughing through their appointment. It helps everything go by much quicker and feel more at ease.

When I’m not in the at work: I’m a mama of three girls 7, 4 and 7 months, and wife to my highschool sweetheart, a Richmond County Fire Department Sergeant. You can find me with my girls between dance classes and church activities. My husband and I frequent cute restaurants throughout the area. But you’ll most often find me in my element at my fav local coffee shoplistening to a podcast, or meeting friends in my free time.

My mission is to help buyers and sellers make smart real estate moves in the greater Augusta area.

My motto is to always do the right thing even when it may not be the easy thing.

I admire women who are truthful and have integrity.

My clients choose to do business with me because I am experienced and always have their best interest at heart.

When I’m not in the office I enjoy time with my family at the lake, listening to all kinds of music, and going to sporting and cultural events.

I stay involved in the community by

looking for opportunities to serve where my unique abilities are put to use. I love Turn Back The Block and the work they are doing in Harrisburg. It teaches people the value of home ownership and helps them get on a path to achieve it. I also enjoy connecting new Augustans with others in the community to help them plug in with their unique talents. It is also important to me to pray for our local leaders and our community as a whole.

Most people are surprised when they learn that I have five children; my mother immigrated from Ireland. I also spent time in Europe including one year in France performing ballet.

Three things I can’t live without are my love of learning, sense of humor and my cell phone.

The best business advice I’ve ever received was to focus on your own business. We can easily get distracted by what others are doing and compare ourselves. There will always be newer businesses popping up and more “advanced” ways of doing things. My success comes from staying true to my interests and values. Having 20+ years of experience helps too.

My Motto: “Don’t look back. You’re not going that way.”

My mission is to teach proper skin care and to offer a customized regimen to my clients. So many women go overboard with injections and cosmetic procedures, sometimes changing the entire structure of the face. I love to give clients their confidence back by helping them achieve their skincare goals, while growing old gracefully.

Im most proud of the hardworking people I surround myself with. First, my husband. He’s truly my inspiration and the best advisor. Then my team, I couldn’t be more proud of the talent and professionalism from my colleagues. I’m so grateful for them.

The secret to a good business is to genuinely care for your customers and providing the best customer service that you can.

I love what I do because I love seeing women grow comfortable and confident in their skin! It’s so rewarding to watch women accomplish things that they never thought that they could.

My mission is to provide a place where women are encouraged to feel comfortable in their own skin and to provide a judgment-free safe haven for women of all skill levels, all shapes and all sizes to work on bettering their physical as well as their mental health.

My mission is to always act in the best interest of our clients, through unquestionable ethics in everything we do and develop lasting relationships through open communication and exceptional client service.

Our clients choose us because we make the buying and selling of real estate as painless as possible and provide the highest level of client service, by continually implementing innovative solutions to make our clients’ transactions as efficient as possible.

When I’m not in the office/at work I love broadening my perspective by visiting new destinations, enjoying precious moments with my family, playing golf, and experiencing the peace and tranquility of horseback riding.

The most important thing we do is serve our clients. By listening to our clients, we are able to leverage our flexibility and ability to adjust our strategies and operations allowing us to consistently overcome evolving market challenges and ensuring that we are always meeting and exceeding our clients’ expectations.

I describe success as continually providing value to our clients and ensuring that they receive complete satisfaction from their real estate experience.

My motto is every day is training for the next. I continue to learn something new each day and I can apply it immediately in our business. The business of real estate is full of possibilities, which is what makes it so exhilarating to me.

Our Motto: “ Building Our Reputation One Frame At A Time.”

The most important thing we do is work with our customers to design a frame that perfectly reflects their style, vision and budget. No job is too small or complicated for us!

Our clients appreciate our dedication to our craft and our constant search for knowledge and expertise. We’re always updating our molding stock to ensure that we have the latest designs.

I’m proud of The Frame Shoppe team and what we accomplish together. No matter the challenge, we pull together and rise to the occasion.

When we’re not in the office you’ll find us with our two dogs, Murphy and Molly, exploring all that Augusta has to offer. A Sunday walk on the canal for brunch at Hammonds Ferry, we’re always up for an adventure.

I’m thankful that real estate is a business of networking and meeting so many amazing people and maintaining life long relationships with client’s and colleagues is one of the things that I’m most thankful for! Being invited to important milestones in my client’s lives is an indescribable feeling for me! It brings me pure joy to remain in their lives even beyond their home purchase and for that I couldn’t be more thankful!

We stay involved in our community through our “Community Outreach Committee.” As chair of the committee, I am fully dedicated to find ways to give back to those in need. We strive for a better community by leading by example and providing neighborhood cleanup, raising funds and supplies for nursing homes, providing supplies to our local schools and

serving others with warm meals. It’s beyond rewarding to be able to volunteer for these great causes!

I’m proud of my team, Shawna McMillan, Gianna Salazar, Marlena Salazar-Rodriguez, Hope Lockhart and Anna-Lena Cowher! Together not only do we provide our client’s with our complete diligence, but they all go above and beyond to make both buyer’s and seller’s know they are well taken care of and represented to the fullest extent of their abilities!

When I’m not in the office/at work my family and I love to enjoy our weekend gatherings by the pool, enjoying my husband’s amazing bar-b-que, listening to great music, dancing and creating unforgettable memories!

My Mission: My personal mission is to become the best version of myself. I want to allow myself the freedom to change, make mistakes, live with passion, love with kindness and laugh with a heart filled with joy. I certainly do not feel that I have become that person quite yet, but I am on my way. I want to always be open to growing and learning. Life has taught me some beautiful and very painful lessons over these 40ish years. We are all students of life. Showing up as my authentic self is so important to me. My core values are authenticity, generosity, fun-loving and compassion.

Best advice: The best advice that I have ever been given is to “forgive quickly”. This lesson was much harder for me to implement in my youth! Now, I realize how much mental and emotional space we waste holding on to unforgiveness. I try to grant and ask for forgiveness quickly. This piece of advice has helped me in my personal and professional life. I prefer peace over chaos. Forgiveness has given me exponential peace, and I am so grateful for that gift!

Dr. TopicOils Motto: “A Healthy Scalp Will Grow Hair.”- Dr. Dwella Moton Nelson

We work with clients all around the world who are suffering with hair loss issues. Our clients want to use product formulas that are chemical-free and steroid-free. Our Dr. TopicOils Healthy Scalp Specialist helps us to create natural, essentialoil based, restorative hair growth formulas that work for men and women. Our clients have excellent results in as little as 30-45 days. These results make our clients feel cared for, and they remind us that our expertise is very valuable. We are here to help!

I hope more women will: I hope more women will practice good self care. Women are a very important part of this world. We support. We love. We carry. We deliver. We create. We correct. We drive. We suggest. We lift. We give so much of ourselves to the world around us. We care about “everything” including our families, our kids, our jobs, our parents, our career decisions, breast exams, the environment, school activities, car line, playdates, doctor’s appointments, school supplies and OB-Gyn appointments. This list is very short compared to what is typically on our minds on any given day (LOL). Women...remember to practice good self care. YOU are the glue for your families!

My mission is to provide the dream of homeownership to my clients with stellar service, clear, concise communication and always keeping their best interest at the forefront.

The Secret to good business is an unwavering daily commitment to do the right thing for my clients & co-workers and never lose sight of the big picture.

I love what I do because buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions a person will make in their life and I get to take that journey with them. Sometimes the journey is quick & easy while other times it can be a hard difficult road for some; regardless of their situation, my commitment to homebuyers is always steadfast and getting to the closing table is the most rewarding part of my job.

Best business advice I ever received is to never stop building meaningful relationships with customers and other people in your industry. Choosing to view competitors as potential partners and collaborators can make a huge positive impact on your business!

My clients appreciate the professionalism and dedication I provide throughout each individual situation. I always lead with integrity and perseverance, and that comes through in the successes that I have had for my clients inside and outside of the courtroom. I am always readily available for my clients at all hours of the day for their legal concerns.

The most important thing I do in my role as an attorney is providing personal service at an affordable rate to those who need legal representation. I will always put my clients first when it comes to their legal matters and never make decisions for them. I simply lead them in the right direction and let them know I will be by them every step of the way.

I'm thankful for the opportunity to give back to our community through the firm. We give back to our neighbors by supporting animal rescue and Golden Harvest Food Bank.

DURHAM BRAY LAW FIRM, PC 2560 Trade Center Drive, Evans 706-738-7111 | durhambraylaw.com

My mission is to provide simple, affordable, science-based tools that help enable individuals to achieve their goals. Through my educational efforts, you will discover how to effectively utilize crystals as tools for transforming your mindset and cultivating positive habits, seamlessly integrating them into your daily life.

I love what I do because I know a woman with the right knowledge and support can change herself, her home, her community, the nation and the world. To have even a small part in supporting another woman who goes on to change other lives is an incredible honor.

Most people are surprised when they learn that I am a Certified Body Code Practitioner. Through muscle testing, I identify energetic imbalances caused by trapped emotions, experiences, traumas, memories and more, which can negatively

interact with the body’s energy and result in symptoms like pain, illness or feeling stuck. By clearing these imbalances, the body’s innate healing capacity is enhanced.

My motto is “progress not perfection.” We should celebrate each step we make each day. Whether big or small, the steps deserve recognition and validation. We are each on a journey and there’s contentment and enjoyment in each day if we look for it.

The most important thing I do is create community within our community. On Saturday mornings, we host sound baths, yoga classes, crystals for beginners classes and other events at our retail location in Evans. Over the two years, we have watched these sessions grow into an amazing community of people from all walks of life. I believe we thrive when we have community and we are so proud to be a part of what we now call the 12 Stones family.

Our best business advice is always give more than you receive!

What we like most is helping first time homeowners happiness with successfully closing on a home. Nothing makes us happier than continuing to work with buyers as they grow through different stages in their lives and purchase new homes to meet their growing needs. The first circle makes clients family.

Our contributions to the community include participate in blood drives, plasma donations, Salvation Army, Golden Harvest Food Bank, Greeting Cards and gifts to local nursing home residents, Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon, Christmas

toy gift donations for children in need, collecting clothes and furniture donations for battered women and their families, Walk for Alzheimer’s Awareness and many other deserving causes. Jan helps with the previously mentioned groups and is currently serving on the Board of Mosaic Center, Community Outreach with GAAR, the United Way, The McCormick Children’s Home and the Masters Round Table.

The most important thing we do is offer services where each customer leaves feeling better than before they entered through our doors. We offer traditional, award winning spa services like Massage and Esthetician services, we also have a full-spectrum Infrared Sauna and Amethyst Biomat that promote relief of aches and pains, pulling toxins out of the body and promoting better sleep among other things. Halotherapy (salt therapy) is what we are truly focused around. It helps so many with allergies, asthma, COPD and other respiratory issues along with headaches and migraines. It also is a proven natural remedy for eczema and psoriasis. The most immediate effect you will feel is how your mood shifts to feel calm, grounded and stress free. It has helped many with depression, anxiety, stress and PTSD.

I am thankful for our community, our salty fam! To bring something unique to the community was definitely scary and finding out I had breast cancer was even scarier right after we signed the lease. I am forever grateful to people I had never met for showing their excitement on social media about Sól opening to keep my mind positive. What should’ve been the most devastating time of my life was actually the best time of my life, thanks to our amazing community! It is an amazing feeling to have so many customers that have become friends over the years.

The secret to good business is honesty and communication. I think that no matter what the issue at hand, integrity always prevails in the end.

I’m proud of being mama to my one-year old baby girl, Ava! She is so smart, strong-willed, independent, funny, kind-hearted, the list goes on. I am so proud to be her mama and see so much of myself in her. I hope she keeps her spitfire energy because she will need it one day!

The most common question I get is “How can you keep up with Greg Oldham?” LOL! I grew up with four younger brothers and later two more step-brothers so I was sort of conditioned to thrive in the midst of some chaos. With that many kids, something is always going on! I tend to keep busy and have always been organized by nature. My mind is usually running a hundred miles an hour and it takes alot to throw me off course so being able to juggle many moving parts is second nature for me.

My motto is “It’s not about me; it’s about my passion for the real estate industry.” Over the years, my experience in real estate has allowed me to continuously renew and innovate my business plan to adapt to the fluctuations of the market. My goal is to provide the best assistance to my clients to help them make informed decisions.

I describe success as taking pride in my work, building relationships and earning respect. A successful businessperson is dedicated to doing their best, no matter the challenge they face.

The secret to good business is always put God first and lead with integrity.

I love what I do because my clients are an integral part of my life, and I am committed to being there for them.

My tools of the trade are being an optimist and maintaining a positive outlook is crucial in navigating the real estate industry or any other endeavor in life. It is essential to always look to the bright side, even in the face of challenges and missteps. Instead of allowing setbacks to deter you, use them as opportunities for growth and learning. Real estate, like any other field, can have its ups and downs, but maintaining an optimistic mindset allows you to persevere and find creative solutions. By embracing optimism, you can approach each day and every situation with renewed enthusiasm and a belief in your ability to overcome obstacles. So, stay positive, keep striving forward, and let nothing stop you from achieving your goals.

Many people are surprised to learn that working in the real estate business is not about million-dollar clubs, fancy cars, jewelry and traveling. It demands long working hours, stability, dedication, sacrifices and continuously resourcing for new ideas and solutions.

I’m proud of the fact that as a single woman with a small child in a new country, I’ve overcome challenges including a language barrier. I learned that determination and attention to detail can make a significant difference in one’s life.

My motto is “Customers don’t care how much you know unless they know how much you care.” These have been the words I have lived by since I started my company in 1997. I know a lot about travel but I care about people more!

My purpose is making dreams come true. It may sound cliché but nothing makes me happier than seeing people happy and, for me, that means seeing them relaxed and having fun on vacation.

The most common question we get is “What can your business do to enhance my vacation and how does it all work?” I love this question because it allows us to educate our customers on our professional service and in turn, help them see how much we care about them, their entire experience, comfort and safety while traveling!

My mission when I started this business almost 10 years ago was to help women and men feel better about themselves. Whether its with facial aesthetics, vitamin injections or simply listening and providing a comfortable space to talk.

I opened this business because I had been in a clinical setting for almost 19 years and enjoyed the aspect of nursing but wanted to reach people on a different level. I wanted to offer a unique, boutique wellness clinic that would be a place where patients could start the process of anti-aging whether it is just a conservative chemical peel or as far as laser resurfacing and thread lifts. It can be confusing and a scary time for people and we want to develop that personal relationship with them, our patients are almost like a family.

I’m most proud of “my why”... I feel as though my staff and my patients would agree that I have protected and built this business with my whole heart and passion. I work up to 10 hours some days, and fly to another state the next day to train offices from all over the U.S. I can’t seem to get enough of spreading our vibe and my love for aesthetics.

We describe success as finishing the goals you set out to accomplish. Whatever that looks like for you. If you are able to dream it, cultivate the vision by writing it down, plan the process and execute it with your whole heart. You are successful.

My mission is to help wherever I can. It is important to leave this world better than I entered it.

Best business advice I ever received came from my mom. If you always LISTEN to your clients and do your best to give them what they want you should be ok most of the time. I’ve learned that sometimes they may say one thing but really want something else.

I love what I do because it allows me to be a problem solver. My clients need a solution to either buying, selling or leasing property. What I do allows me to find a solution for their real estate needs.

The most important thing I do is spend time with friends and family. Time is so important because that is one thing we can’t buy or get more of so making the best of

quality time is so important.

My tools of the trade are those that surround me. I’m so thankful for all the vendors and friends that assist me everyday to make my life better to serve my clients. It literally takes everyone to get the job done! From inspectors, appraisers, cleaners, landscapers, photographers, attorneys, repair folks, all types of trade work to get us to the closing table. It is the best of the best customer service I can give my clients!

Most people are surprised when they learn that my mom and sister are also in real estate. My mom received her brokers license in 1976 and my sister has been selling real estate for over 15 years. They are in Arizona but it is great to have a family that can help each other problem solve. I have years of knowledge to help me make the best decision for my clients.

Our motto “Encore... Because it is always okay to want more.”

Our mission is celebrating and creating a community of women who support and uplift each other through fashion. We strive to make ALL women feel and look like their best selves!

The most important things we do is to boost confidence and to give back to the community that supports us. We help when we can, we listen to our customers and consignors and lift spirits when needed. We laugh, we cry and we are a community of women who hype each other up!

The secret to good business is a great team! Jazz, Shari, Jada and I work together; but it’s more than that. We are friends, family, one in spirit. It’s what makes us successful and our clients see that, “feel” that spirit. It makes them feel good and why they return time and time again.

I’m thankful for Jazz, Shari and Jada and of course the whole Encore family

(customers and consignors), and the constant support and encouragement that we receive from the community.

Our clients choose us because we are just like them. We are not perfect. We have bad hair days and days that nothing goes right. But we are also wild, wonderful, hard working, untamed and incredible.

Our clients appreciate our personalized service. We offer large selections of clothes, jewelry, accessories and unique items. But not everything is for everyone. We want to make sure you look good and you feel good. Who are we kidding? They love our great music, and the comedic banter amongst the staff!

Most of all we want you all to know that Encore Boutique and consignments supports and champions all of the dynamic women in the CSRA. Here’s to all the wild, wonderful, hard working, untamed and incredible ladies who constantly raise each other up. Dynamic women ... may we know them ... may we raise them.

I hope more women will: I wish more women knew to prioritize their mental, emotional and physical health first. Prioritizing and taking care of our body, mind and spirit so we can be fully present and effectively there for your family and friends.

The best business advice I ever received is before I can have what I want, I need to first become the person who does the things to get there. It’s called the BE. DO. HAVE. Model. and it reminds me to become the person I need to be first in order to have what you want.

The secret to good business is always put God first and lead with integrity.

My clients choose us because they appreciate how detail-oriented and proactive I am. I often get clients who say they are happy with how caring and knowledgeable I am about all facets of the home-buying and selling process.

I’m thankful to God for my life and the experiences that have shaped me into the strong, resilient and loving woman I am today.
