Since backcountry skiing is done in the wild, though it isn’t for inexperienced skiers. Avalanches and accidents might occur so we don’t suggest it for anyone who isn’t at least mid-level and over; even then, consulting with a guide and skiing with them is highly recommended. As for where, Bandai (Fukushima Prefecture) and Tomamu (Hokkaido), where you get up with a ski vehicle and then ski down, or Okushiga Kogen (Nagano Prefecture), deep in a pristine forest of beeches and birches, are a few of the best choices. *The tour might be canceled due to bad weather and other climate conditions.

Wakasagi (smelt) fishing is one of the trademarks of winter in Japan and it can be done in several ways: by opening a hole Lake Akagi-Onuma on the frozen surface of a lake, by getting a boat and moving 赤城大沼 around if the water hasn’t frozen yet, or by settling in the rocks 一同享受釣魚和美食的樂趣 at the lake’s shore and casting your line.
