2017: WHAT'S IN STORE FOR THE TRI-STATE We've looked back, now let's look ahead to some of the big events coming soon! FEBRUARY February will be ready to rock with gritty country singer Brantley Gilbert coming to the Ford Center on the "Devil Don't Sleep Tour." With four number one songs to his credit and having written two of Jason Aldean's biggest hits, "My Kinda Party" and "Dirt Road Anthem," the Georgia native is on a roll. At the Old National Events Plaza, the renowned Beatles tribute Let It Be will celebrate the timeless music of the Fab Four and global sensation Shen Yun returns to display the art of classical Chinese dance. And speaking of elegant movement, Cirque de la Symphonie will join the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra at the Victory for an acrobatic performance.
MARCH March is all about Blake - Blake Shelton, that is. The country heartthrob and star of NBC's The Voice is coming to the Ford Center on his "Doing It to Country Songs Tour," a guaranteed crazy time. Another packed house is expected at the annual Winter Jam concert featuring some of today's top Christian music artists and bands. Not to be outdone in the country department, the Victory will play host to Clint Black, a music legend who's scored more than three dozen hits. Also at the Victory, the Long Island Medium, Theresa Caputo, returns to Evansville for another evening of emotional readings. And if you need a good laugh, comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias will take the ONEP stage in March - a total laugh riot!
APRIL April is when things really start to heat up event-wise in the community. And this year, we've got the world famous rock band Journey to help get the party started. Led by the tiny but immensely powerful singer Arnel Pineda, the group returns to the Ford Center for what is sure to be another sell-out. Also encoring at the Ford Center, Christian music's biggest band, Casting Crowns, returns on "The Very Next Thing Tour." And of course, Guns & Hoses will be back for another epic boxing battle between the local fire and police departments!
