Global Leadership Lab
• 200 Hours • In-‐person and virtual learning components • Geared to the professional and leadership development of par:cipants.
• The Global Leadership Lab is experimental and open to introduc:on of new things. • Par:cipants need to take ownership of their professional development.
• Orienta(on: Four days of cultural and professional programming to get acquainted to life in the U.S., Professional Culture and SeJng the stage for a successful Fellowship.
• Immersion: 4 days of in-‐person training per quarter. Fellows serving all over the U.S. to Washington DC for themed training on core non-‐profit management themes.
• Immersion: The themes covered during different immersions are: Project Management & Fund Raising (January) Marke:ng & Communica:on (May) Social Entrepreneurship & Leadership (September)
• Webinars: Monthly peer-‐to-‐peer learning system that allows Fellows to share their exper:se and issue area knowledge with the Fellow/Alumni Community. Public webinar series are also in place to showcase our Fellows to an external audience based on the quality of the webinars delivered by the Fellows.
• Distance Learning: We have recently introduced Paid Coursera Courses into the GLL to encourage Fellows to take a cer:fied distance learning course. • Conferences: We have partnered with professional development events such as Nexus Summit, Points of Light and Social Good Summit. We send a Fellow delega:on to these events.
• Moodle: Open-‐source knowledge management system which serves as a repository of all training material for the Fellows and also a way for Fellows to share/curate professional development materials for their peers.
• Gradua(on: Closing retreat and a celebra:on of service. Re-‐entry workshop and a career enhancement session, along with other closing ac:vi:es that are due by the end of the Fellowship.
