Work on Buckhead Atlanta – the six-block, 8-acre, luxury mixed-use development formerly know as Streets of Buckhead – resumed last month after sitting dormant for nearly three years. San Diego-based developer OliverMcMillan said a flurry of activity is happening on the site, including new cranes and Georgia Power burying above-ground power lines along Buckhead Avenue. OliverMcMillan will also begin renovating the former HiFi Buys building and transform it into a construction office for general contractor Balfour Beatty’s and Buckhead Atlanta’s management team. Vertical construction is expected to re-start at Buckhead Atlanta later this year. The project currently is on target to be completed in late 2013. OliverMcMillan.com
