This District 191 calendar and directory was published in August 2012 with information available at that time. For the most current information, check your child’s school newsletter or website. The calendar was sent to families with children ages 4 to 18 (or through grade 12) in Burnsville-EaganSavage School District 191, to families of open enrollment students, and others by request. For athletics information, please call the Athletics Office at 952/707-2111. You can also check schedules on the high school’s website (www.isd191.org/bhs) or the South Suburban Conference website (www. southsuburbanconference.org).

A new mission for District 191 outlines very clearly the task at hand:

ensure ALL STUDENTS are ready for post-high school endeavors.

Members of the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 Board of Education worked during the 2011-12 school year to develop a Strategic Roadmap for the district. After building a draft plan in the fall, board members received feedback from residents and staff members and approved a final revised Roadmap in January. The Roadmap is intended to reflect the unique needs, strengths and values of the District 191 community and to align and give direction to all work across the district for several years to come.

DISTRICT 191 MISSION Our schools will: • Empower Learning, • Energize Achievement, • Embrace Community Each Student Real-World-Ready District Core Values • Expectations: I will set a high bar for myself and others in learning, behavior, commitment to do one’s best and service to others and community • Respect: I will honor the uniqueness of myself and others • Integrity: I will do the right thing…even when no one is looking • Partnership: I will engage in relationships and action which empowers learning for ALL

Vision 2015 District 191 will be the leading and preferred source of learning and education for its students and adult learners because we: • Serve the unique needs of our students, families and communities first and foremost • Provide relevant and engaging student learning and enrichment leading to college and career readiness for all • Develop innovative, attractive and aligned academic programs, support services, and opportunities • Invest and engage in real partnership across those with differing interests, talents, assets and opportunities aligned with district mission and core values • Energize and leverage our community diversity in all forms as unique and valued assets for developing true real world ready learners and citizens • Attract, value, retain and develop the very best employees in education and operations to serve our students and families
