Alumni Class Notes 1986

Joe Lewis :: Published a book on web design, completed a second master’s degree in computer science at University of Denver, and spent summer vacation in Taiwan with my family.

1987

Karen (Kistner) Morris :: Steve and I just finished shooting an independent film called The Assistants. It was written and directed by Steve, who is also editing the film. I was the casting director and a producer on it. We had an amazing cast comprised of a bunch of young actors who you probably would not recognize, and rounded out by Joe Mantegna, Jane Seymour and Stacy Keach. We are just getting started on the post-production process and hope to get a cut done soon to start shopping around on the festival circuit.

1988

Bill Hughes :: My wife Jill and I have twin daughters, Phoebe and Fiona, and a son, Ian. We live in Orinda, CA. I am a partner at Fenwick & West LLP, a Silicon Valley-based law firm, and work in San Francisco. Arethusa Stevens Kirk :: Thriving here in Baltimore, Maryland, working as a pediatrician in a Federally Qualified Health Center, which I find very rewarding. Greg (my husband) and I are expecting for the first time at the end of July and looking forward to this exciting new addition. Would love to hear from classmates!

1990

Andy Terzich :: I live in Las Vegas with my wife Karen, daughter Heather (6), and son Logan (4). I work for G.C. Wallace engineering.

1992

Sasha Soukup :: My hunny Chris and I moved up to Grass Valley, California, recently for a supernatural adventure. My life revolves around music and Herbalism these days. My band, Sasha and the Shamrocks, is here: http://myspace.com/ sashaandtheshamrocks. My Herbal blog, Kitchen Witch, is here: http://kitchenwitch.typepad.com/. Please write me at sashasoukup@yahoo.com and say hi!

Melissa (Fortenberry) Williams :: I am just finishing my fourth year of teaching, and I am entering Mills College’s administrative credential and doctorate in education programs. I completed my master’s in Education last year and am looking forward to my summer off!

1997

Andrea (Wysocki) Procida :: Ralph and I celebrated the birth of our son, Logan James Procida, on May 13, 2008. He was six pounds, eight ounces, 18.5 inches long, and in great health!

1994

Alexa (Baird) Kelly :: Hello, Athenians! Peter and I celebrated the birth of our first daughter, Kaia Isabella Kelly, on August 20, 2007. It’s hard to believe that she is already a year old!

1995

Lindsay Firth :: I’m living in Oakland and working in San Francisco. I’ve been in corporate-landia for almost three years now, prior to which I was an avowed nonprofitista with some grad school thrown in for good measure. I find ways to alleviate my existential anxiety by volunteering for cool causes, traveling, exploring art, community, and spirituality, making music, reading, laughing hard, and spending time with my dear ones.

1996

Saheli Datta :: I teach chemistry and physics at Athenian! Bruce Hamren shows me how to blow things up and Megan Leich ’94 gives me pointers on just about everything. It’s a little crazy to be back, but surprisingly fun — if also surprisingly busy. Previously I was a business reporter at TimeInc’s Business 2.0 (now folded into Fortune Magazine), with a stint of freelancing before that and a year in journalism school before that. Still very interested in writing and journalism. Please look me up if you’re in town or in Berkeley, where I live.

Jeffery Ford :: I have just completed the second year of my MBA/MPH program at UC Berkeley and will be spending the summer as a venture capital intern.

2001

Sarah Kostick :: After graduating from Smith College in 2005, I spent two years living and working in Philadelphia. I am currently attending Case Western Law School, concentrating in public interest/international/constitutional law and am enjoying getting to know Cleveland. I have spent my first summer working for two constitutional law professors on issues of children’s rights, abortion and city/state relations. Additionally, I am training for the Chicago Marathon and continue to ride and train horses as my schedule allows.

2002

Zoey Burrows :: After college, I worked in New Orleans with Habitat for Humanity and Rustic Pathways. Now I’m in Oakland and finally have a real job grant writing for Solar Richmond, a local
