Practical Nursing Capping & Pinning
The ASU-Newport & ASUN-Jonesboro Practical Nursing Capping & Pinning Ceremony was held on July 10.
Young Manufacturers Academy On July 12, ASU-Newport welcomed The Young Manufacturers Academy to the TekStarz Camp! They had an opportunity to check out the cool toys at ASUNewport!
Car Capable Classes Our first Car Capable class was completed on July 13, and two more classes were offered on July 18th and 20th! The course offered instruction on the basics of car maintenance and care. This training took place in our modern air-conditioned training facility at ASU-Newport in Marked Tree. Items covered included: Lube Oil and Filter, Suspension and Steering, Auto Body Maintenance, Roadside Emergencies, Tires, and Electrical.
E.N.G.A.G.E Sessions E.N.G.A.G.E Sessions were held on each campus throughout the year. These sessions provided new students with information about ASU-Newport, resources for students, information about academic programs, and much more.Â
Welcome Back!
Welcome Week started with activities on August 21st on the Newport Campus. Students were treated to free food and t-shirts, as well as an opportunity to mingle with faculty and staff, as well as old and new friends!

Images of Success and Service at ASU-Newport These two outstanding instructors retired from ASU-Newport. We celebrated the accomplishments of Sherri Smith and David Lynn with a retirement reception held August 15 at the Hodges Library on the Newport Campus.
