The decision is final and may not be reviewed. **NOTE: The process above is used for filing a concern in which a resolution has been requested that is specific to the student filing. If a student wishes to file an official complaint that has no personal resolution, or wishes to remain anonymous, that complaint will not follow the above steps. **NOTE: Academic Appeal must be made within fifteen (15) instructional days following the issuance of the grade or decision.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER The Academic Support Center provides free tutoring services to any ASU-Newport students who needs help. Full-time staff members, as well as tutors and computer programs are available to provide assistance. Students may access Microsoft Office programs to prepare papers, create spreadsheets and work on PowerPoint presentations. Appointments are not necessary, but computers are available on a first come, first serve basis. The Academic Support Center is open in the Fall and Spring Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm. ACTS COURSE TRANSFER SYSTEM (ACTS) Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS): The Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) contains information about the transferability of courses within Arkansas public colleges and universities. Students are guaranteed the transfer of applicable credits and the equitable treatment in the application of credits for the admissions and degree requirements. Course transferability is not guaranteed for courses listed in ACTS as “No Comparable Course.” Additionally, courses with a “D” frequently do not transfer and institutional policies may vary.
