5. ARRIVI
4.1 Arrivals by Air
The most suitable airport is Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP-LIMC)
A shuttle train is available at for about 35 www.tilo.ch/collegamenti/S50 euro (return ticket) with destination Lugano (Switzerland) Main Station, about 1h driving distance.
From there, public transportation, hotel shuttle, taxi or rental car are available to your final destination according to your needs. Consider possible custom controls at the border between Italy and Switzerland that could delay the journey.
4.2 Arrivals by Train
The Main Station in LUGANO (Switzerland) is the closest one to Tesserete. The towns are connected by bus routes approximately every 30 minutes. Lugano downtown is reachable by funicular or 5 minute walk. Train tickets in Switzerland are available at www.sbb.ch.
4.3 Arrivals by Road
If your car is equipped with a Navigation Tool/GPS insert as destination TESSERETE (Switzerland) town centre.
Coming from North, you will need to pass the Gotthard or San Bernardino area, descending towards Bellinzona and Lugano. Take RIVERA (48) exit and via main roads to TAVERNE and then TESSERETE. Be aware of possible queuing at the Gotthard Tunnel access.
Coming from South, after entering Switzerland from Italy in CHIASSO (Como), stay on the highway and exit at LUGANO NORD (49), and from there to VEZIA and TESSERETE. Possible waiting at the border check-point. It is required to have a vignette if you intend to use the Swiss motorways. Swiss rental cars already have a vignette. If you are coming from abroad check at the borders where to buy it. The fine for not having it is much more expensive than the vignette itself....
In Tesserete you will easily find indications towards the Village Area located at the Sports Arena, close to the Church. Find parking signs.
4.1 Arrivi via aria

Scenic Trail has a permanent marking system available on the official yellow panels. At every intersection and in several other locations a «Scenic Trail» sticker is available, indicating the correct direction, especially when crossing villages. Additionally, temporary markings to increase safety are installed during the race period. It includes dedicated flags, orange spray dots and arrows (mainly on roads or stones), red and yellow marking/warning tape, remaining distance panels, and other possible signals. For the night, reflectors are displayed to help runners find the way.
9.

VILLAGE
Aid-stations are placed at regular intervals. In the table below you can find an indication of what is to be found at each point. Be aware that the list may vary and this is only a general overview. We remind you that according our regulations, all our trails must be accomplished in semi-indipendently style; expect up to 20 Km of complete indipendence between aid-stations. Water points are provided naturally by fountains, creeks and sources. They will not be marked. Their use it is entirely up to the athletes needs and decision. In very hot weather many sources and creeks are dry. Consider having a sufficient water reserve, in this case. To drink at the aid-stations, participants are required to bring a personal drinking cup.
Food & Beverages
The following can be found in the refreshment areas where food is provided:
- FRUIT (oranges, apples, watermelon, lemons, etc.)
- SWEETS (fruit bars, gummi bears, biscuits, chocolate, cake, etc.)
- SALTY (sandwiches, crackers, bread, cheese, etc.)
Each refreshment station will be different and not all products can be found at each point.
For K130, at the MID RACE STATION, it will be possible to have a hot meal (e.g. pasta, potatoes, rice, soup, polenta, etc.).
Keep in mind that satisfying everyone is impossible. The hot meal serves to recover carbohydrates. These can come from pasta, rice or other foods. Our kitchen service, also depending on the prevailing weather conditions, may decide to make a pasta salad (fresher, better digestible and better storable) instead of hot tomato pasta. The result is identical in terms of energy supply.
We therefore ask you to take what is offered without attacking the volunteers if what you find is not exactly what you expected. Thank you for your cooperation.
- DRINKS (Coke, isotonic drink, water, hot tea, coffee, hot vegetable broth) ®

AID-STATIONS
12.1 Personal drinking cup
Scenic Trail is an ecological event in all respects. At the aidstations the only way to drink is by using your own personal mug. Please use it during the competition and later during other events to avoid the usual waste of plastic cups.

12.1 Bicchiere personale

- FRUTTA (arance, mele, anguria, limoni, ecc.)
- DOLCI (barrette di frutta, orsetti di gomma, biscotti, cioccolato, torta, ecc.)
- SALATO (panini, crackers, pane, formaggio, ecc.)
