textbook policy

Students cannot order the textbooks by themselves (no refunds will be given). Textbooks must be ordered by the University. Textbooks will not be ordered until payment has been received and processed. As such, it is important that students enroll 7-10 business days prior to the desired start date to allow enough time for students to receive their textbooks. A confirmation email (including shipping information and estimated delivery time) will be emailed to the student once payment has been received. Aspen University is an approved Servicemembers Opportunity College (SOC). The SOC is a network of institutions across the country dedicated to meeting the needs of people in the armed forces for adult continuing education. While military service carries no equivalent college credit, coursework earned in the military may result in equivalent college credit with appropriate documentation. VA, GI, and DANTES benefits va and gi benefits

Aspen University is approved by the Colorado State Approving Agency for Veteran’s Benefits. Most VA programs allow veterans 10 years from the date of separation listed on the Military Discharge (DD214) to use their veterans’ benefits, unless the veteran was unable to attend due to a documented mental or physical disability, or reentry into active duty. All admissions requirements must be completed, and the VA recipient must be a registered student at Aspen University before he/she will be certified for VA benefits. Payment of tuition and fees is a part of the enrollment process, and students are not considered a registered student until payment is received. DANTES processes tuition assistance reimbursements for active duty service members -- Navy, Marine Corp, Army, Active Guard Reservists, Army National Guard, military and civilian personnel, U.S. Army Reserves and Air Force Reserve Command -- when they successfully complete a course. Prospective students requesting tuition assistance under this program must have a DANTES Form # 1562/31 (Independent Study Form) signed by the student’s educational services specialist, guidance counselor, or commanding officer, certifying his/her eligibility. NOTE: Students must supply to the above mentioned military personnel documentation of the Aspen University tuition cost as well as a list of the courses required for the curriculum selected. Chapter 35 - Survivors and Dependents Educational Assistance Program — Sons, daughters, spouses, and surviving spouses of veterans who perished or totally are disabled as the result of a service-connected wound arising from active service, or who perished from the cause while such disability existed — The child or spouse of a person who is on active duty as a member of the Armed Forces, and who, for a period of 90 days, has been considered a POW, MIA, or otherwise detained by a foreign government or power Chapter 1606 - Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve — On or after July 1, 1985 enlisted, re-enlisted, or extended an enlistment of a selected reserve so that the reservist has an obligation to serve for a period of not less than six years following the date of such action — Has completed the requirements for a secondary school diploma — Has completed IDAT

Refund policy Aspen University policies conform to the requirements of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) and the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). All advance payments are refundable, within the limits cited below. Refunds are payable by check only, and will not be charged back to a credit card. program withdrawal refund

For refunds due to students who have paid upfront for the entire tuition of their degree program, Aspen University calculates refunds based on the full tuition cost (published cost per credit) and processes refunds according to the Refund Table. enrollment, cancellation, and course withdrawal fees

Enrollments may be canceled by midnight of the fifth calendar day from the day the enrollment agreement was signed or submitted electronically. Cancellation under these circumstances will result in a full refund of the course tuition paid. A student may request cancellation by email, fax, or mail. Students must identify the effective cancellation date, which must be on or after the date of notification, and the reason for cancellation. Upon cancellation, all money due to the student will be refunded within 30 days, subject to the following conditions: A student cancelling an enrollment on or after midnight of the fifth calendar day after the enrollment agreement was signed or submitted electronically, up to the course’s start date, will result in a full refund of the course tuition paid, less the non-refundable administrative fee ($180 for all programs). When a student withdraws from a course on or after the course start date, Aspen University provides a refund of course-by-course tuition payments, according to the following table, less the $180 administrative fee: refund table (8-10 week courses)
