Eligibility and enrollment

Below are general rules for who can enroll and when. If you have specific questions, call the Benefit Service Center at 844-407-9444.

Who’s eligible

Team members

Full-time team members working (on average) 30+ hours per week

Dependent family members

• Spouse or domestic partner • Children up to age 26, or any age if disabled before age 26

When can you enroll or make changes

As a new team member

Enroll within 30 days of your hire date. Coverage starts the first of the month after 30 days of employment.

During Open Enrollment

Enroll or make changes each fall. Your new coverage starts on January 1 the following year.

When your life changes

Make changes within 30 days of a qualified life event. Your new coverage starts on the date of the event.

Qualified life events include: • Marriage or divorce • Birth or adoption of child • Change in employment status • Child turns age 26 • Dependent loses or gains other coverage

Have documents handy

You may be required to provide proof of dependent eligibility while enrolling. Examples of proof include: • Marriage certificate for a spouse • Birth certificate or adoption decree for a child • Affidavit for a domestic partner (find it on the enrollment site)

To request changes when you have a qualified life event, log on to myaspenbenefits.com.

All requests for benefit changes will be reviewed to ensure you’re changing the coverage you need for your life event.
