We have also worked on: Drafting this publication that gathers memories from the founders, members, American scholars and former scholars, milestones of the works of the four postdoctoral researchers that have received to date a scholarship from the Association, pictures and a list of sponsors. Organizing the 20th Anniversary gala dinner where the commemorative book was presented. We have encouraged all our members to provide ideas, images, historical anecdotes and to take part with their sponsor in the scheduled activities –the Fulbright Former Scholars Association receives funds exclusively from its members and voluntary sponsors, including companies such as Borak, EOI, Norman Broadbent and Neumann International, to whom we are deeply thankful. Preparing a meeting on network communications at the Association so as to improve initiatives for information transparency in place since 2008, as well as participation. Network communications at the Association started to be reformulated two years ago with the incorporation of new Spanish and American scholars. It has entailed the revision of the work promoted by Javier Muñoz with the first website, updating it and including new 2.0 supports. It has also involved an effort to integrate brilliant young scholars to whom we pledge our commitment and support. Olga Gil and Pilar Gonzalo have directed the works together with Rachel Yingling, Bassam Nory and other volunteers. The effort made to digitalize historical documents such as Fulcro and more recent images is an important step to making us known and to facilitate the edition of this publication on the 20th Anniversary. We hope that other initiatives we have promoted such as the open curricula book will contribute in the future to enhance as strong a network as that of the Association that is celebrating its twentieth anniversary. The following pages reflect historical moments of the Association under the direction of Presidents Julia Pérez Cerezo, Carmen Varela, Lorenzo Rodríguez Durántez, Mariano Gómez Aranda, and Antonio Escobar. We would particularly like to remember our second president who is no longer with us. We can read the texts of successive presidents who share their outstanding experience at the Association with us. A very special thanks goes to Miguel Guitart, member of the Board of Directors, who has coordinated the edition of this book with the support of a large group of collaborators. I would like to finish by inviting the young Fulbright scholars to be the protagonists and writers of the next 20 years of the Association.

Un encuentro sobre la comunicación en red de la Asociación, para mejorar las iniciativas de transparencia informativa en marcha desde 2008 y la participación. La comunicación en red de la Asociación comienza a reformularse hace dos años, con la incorporación de nuevos becarios y becarios estadounidenses. Ha supuesto la revisión del trabajo promovido por Javier Muñoz con la primera web, actualizándola e incorporando nuevos soportes 2.0. Ha supuesto también un esfuerzo integrador de jóvenes becarios, brillantes, por los que apostamos y que estamos impulsando. El trabajo ha estado dirigido por Olga Gil y Pilar Gonzalo, junto con Rachel Yingling, Bassam Nory y otros voluntarios. El esfuerzo de digitalización de documentos históricos como Fulcro y fotografías más recientes es un paso importante para darnos a conocer y facilitar en este 20 Aniversario la elaboración de esta publicación. Otras iniciativas como el libro de currícula en abierto, que impulsamos, esperamos que en el futuro contribuyan a poner en valor una red tan sólida como la de esta Asociación que cumple 20 años. Las siguientes páginas recogen momentos históricos de la Asociación, en las que ésta fue liderada por los Presidentes Julia Pérez Cerezo, Carmen Varela, Lorenzo Rodríguez Durántez, Mariano Gómez Aranda, y Antonio Escobar. Hoy recordamos especialmente a la segunda Presidenta, que no está entre nosotros, y podemos leer textos de los Presidentes sucesivos, que comparten con nosotros su experiencia destacada en la Asociación. Nuestro reconocimiento es muy especial para Miguel Guitart, miembro de la Junta Directiva, que ha coordinado la elaboración de este libro con el apoyo de un numeroso grupo de colaboradores. Termino con un mensaje de invitación a los jóvenes becarios Fulbright, para que sean ellos los que en gran medida protagonicen y escriban la historia de los próximos 20 años de la Asociación.
