Mid Canterbury Children’s Theatre amazing help and support from local people and businesses. Children from seven to 17 years, not 15 years as in the beginning, are given the chance to boost their confidence and self esteem, broaden their minds while also honing the skills required for live theatre. The philosophy of the Mid Canterbury Children’s Theatre is to allow any youth the chance to experience performing live on the stage, regardless of their experience. Many of the members go on to excel in the performing arts and all participants benefit from their time with the group.
